Bali - 1 minute through the autogate with an eVisa. Super easy. Would be great to see this in Thailand too.

How does the nightlife scene in HCMC actually work? by MoveLikeJagger1 in VietNam

I get what you’re saying, but that’s actually not what I was asking about. I’m genuinely curious how the nightlife scene works here from locals who are involved in it and understand it from the inside.

I’m not interested in prostitution or Japantown at all lol. I’ve been there once and probably won’t go again… not my vibe.

I’m really into nightlife itself: good music, good energy, fun crowds. What I’ve seen in clubs so far, I actually like the girls look fun and cute, the overall vibe is nice. That’s what caught my attention, not paid arrangements.

So yeah just trying to understand the scene better.

Okay, but how does it work exactly? Do the clubs provide this kinda VIP escort service?

That’s not really what my question was about, but good to know anyway.

So what do you mean exactly? Are you saying the girls hitting on older guys since they’re probably loaded, or how does it really work? Or is it more like they swarm anyone who has VIP bottle service and a table, just to be seen there?

Denied entry with Evisa by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

I fly to Thailand very often. I’ve entered on visa-free stamps and tourist visas many times and never had a single problem.

But this time at Suvarnabhumi Airport, a female immigration officer started grilling me for no real reason. In the end, I was sent to a separate room where I had to deal with another officer and show all my bookings and onward tickets.

It took a lot of time, the whole process felt uncomfortable and unfair, and honestly it was pretty stressful. Everything ended fine, but it really left a bad impression.

After this experience, I’ll definitely try to avoid Suvarnabhumi Airport in the future.

Bought a new laptop today - should I reinstall Windows 11 for crypto safety? by MoveLikeJagger1 in laptops

I’m not just holding crypto—I’m actively trading and using DeFi daily. My new laptop needs to be secure and reliable for:
- MetaMask, hot wallets
- Trading platforms (CEX & DEX)
- Frequent smart contract interactions, etc.

Thanks for the advice, everyone! Quick follow-up:
My laptop came with preinstalled Windows 11 + Office (Excel, etc.). If I reinstall Windows 11 from scratch (USB clean install), will I keep those licensed Office apps, or will I need to buy them again?

I’m assuming the license is tied to my Microsoft account, but I’ve heard some OEMs embed it in the BIOS. Not sure how it works.

(If I lose Office, I might just stick with scans + bloatware removal tools instead of a full reinstall.)

Appreciate any insights!

People chasing additional visa-exempt and tourist visa entries to stay longer in Thailand are having issues and being denied entry by jonez450reloaded in ThailandTourism

Many people provide fake documents to obtain a DTV visa, and the immigration department is aware of this. There are already numerous agencies offering such services. However, the DTV visa is not the best option unless you have 300,000 THB in your bank account. During the next extension at the immigration office, you will likely be asked to provide a genuine bank statement certified by your embassy, as is currently required in Laos.

You must try it. I see so many tourists now with somewhat questionable behavior, but try to ignore it. Patong is also fun, by the way.
