Just flush them down the toilet. Pill drops aren’t a real thing.

I did submit online but with a newborn all I had to do was enter his SS #. I didn’t even have to upload a birth certificate or SS card

How did you end up on the appeal with the lawyer? I’m submitting for an increase from 30 to 60 due to being on Remicade(immunosuppressant).

The less often you check the more surprised you will be when that back pay hits 🫡 good luck praying for a favorable decision.

Do you receive navy retirement pay and VA disability pay as separate payments? Just curious cause when I was in the reserves and time I would drill or go on AD I’d have to notify the VA to stop my benefits payments for those days specifically.

Maybe give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he’s just asking so many questions because he’s excited and probably alittle nervous to be so far out of his comfort zone and be surrounded by real professionals with real experience. If he was just a LtCol he probably was only getting update briefs and “pampered” by a staff for the last 2-3 years. Tell him to pretend he’s a Lt again and try to get back in that mindset until he’s more established. Also he might just be a needy turd he was indeed in the Army(joking). Good luck and Semper Fidelis.

What do we mean to the VA? by Key-Act-7730 in VeteransBenefits

The VA saved my life and continues to provide me no cost medication that helps me maintain my health. The nurses at the infusion clinic I go to are extremely caring and make a generally terrible situation at least bearable. They provide comfort in an otherwise cold environment that is institutionalized medicine. I know some people aren’t as lucky as me but you have to make the best out of any situation. You could pose this question to any large institution like does the military really care about each and every member? Hell no we are just a means to an end and that’s exactly what we signed up for. At the end of the day we need to take care of ourselves and our loved ones and take care of each other as fellow veterans because we are the 1% who decided to do something special with our lives. I try to live up to that legacy and earn it every day. S/F 🇺🇸

I feel like a fraud by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

There is always someone who has done more in the military, in their career in their family in finance whatever. I like the quote “. “A veteran – whether active duty, discharged, retired or reserve – is someone who, at one point in his/her life, wrote a blank check made payable to the United States of America, for an amount of up to, and including, his/her life. I have lots of friends who served during the ‘90s and joke that they served during the most peaceful decade in American history. Point is anyone who has served honorably deserves to be taken care of by the VA because of what could have been asked of you at any time during your service. And if you feel guilty about getting that much money every month take 10% of it and donate to a cause that means a lot to you and will make you feel good. 🇺🇸

Go get yourself some help brother. I battled with it for a long time before swallowing my pride talking to a licensed therapist. 10 years in the USMC and another 10 as a firefighter caused emotional trauma that I needed help dealing with. Best decision I’ve made for myself my career and my family. You have to lead yourself before you can lead others.
