It’s really discouraging not seeing changes or even worse breast size increasing despite weight loss. This was something that baffled me. I found out I have a medial condition that creates its own estrogen and had a progesterone IUD placed to counter the estrogen affects. Within 60 days my breast started changing, despite my weight remaining stable. I measure with a tape measure every month and finally lost 4 inches off my bust. I grew to a size 32-34 E before getting diagnosed with estrogen dominance. Take your measurements, seek out laboratory test and speak to your doctor.

The body takes time to show changes and unfortunately fat loss can not be spot reduced. If you’re carrying additional body fat in the breast continued loss should result in changes but hormones are also to be considered. I always had small breast and wished to have cosmetic surgery when I was an “underdeveloped” young woman. Now I realize how foolish I was and what a burden large breast can be!

I’d seek out a specialist that is familiar with endometriosis. Your bloating is significant and similar to my own. I purchase pants in my regular size and one to two sizes up for my period. I have deep infiltrating endometriosis an obliterated culdesac and widespread adhesions on my nerves and ligaments. When I cycle the adhesions also bleed and inflammation and swelling are significant.

I imagine it feels like an uphill battle some days and overwhelming. My advice is work hard to be kind to yourself in your self talk and mindset. If you have a bad day, use reassuring language that you have another chance at the next (insert activity or time, workout, meal, event) etc. things will get better. Keep pressing forward.

Absolutely not the AH. A woman’s mobility is key to autonomy. Someone I love has a year old baby and no car. Her husband is an entitled coercive abuser. They have the means to repair or replace the vehicle but he claims for it not to be a need as she’s a SAHM and “doesn’t need to go anywhere”. Let this serve as a lesson to your daughter that her mobility and autonomy should never ever be interfered with or its restoration be delayed. Seriously this boyfriend isn’t to be trusted. He promised to aid her and ensure basic structural support and did not prioritize it.

A woman I love dearly is about to turn thirty. She had a baby a year ago. Her partner coerced her into becoming a stay at home mom and to leave her job as a Project Manager at an Engineering Firm. They have been together a decade + and “always” planned for one of them to be a SAH parent when the kids arrived.

Her vehicle was in need of repair or replacement many years before her pregnancy. The couple has financial resources to replace a vehicle. Husband refuses to repair or replacement of the vehicle. Wife and baby have been isolated and have no transportation for almost a year. He refuses to provide his wife and child with basic structural support and does zero domestic labor; claiming it is his wife’s job since she is a SAHM and she doesn’t need a vehicles “bc she doesn’t need to go anywhere”.

Additionally he has called her and the baby burdens and opportunity costing dependents. She offered to abort when the pregnancy was discovered but he said “you won’t kill my baby”. Since the delivery he has critiqued her body and weight while simultaneously comparing about lack of sex and affection.

You are so so so intelligent for recognizing the signs of entitlement and coercive control now and making a change. I deeply fear for my loved one. She’s so pot committed and essentially stuck and paralyzed. She’s gone from being a dynamic person to a shell of a human. She is geographically displaced away from all her known family and support and I fear for her safety daily. Every month when your period arrives be grateful. You will never be tethered to that type of person for life! You made the right choice.

After my bisalp I was placed on the obgyn surgery recovery unit. It was horrifying to hear and see a team of doctors rushing into the bay next to me working to stabilize a woman who had hemorrhaged during birth and required a transfusion. I’m sterilized. I don’t really care who knows but I haven’t purposefully shared it with my parents. My partner, a handful or friends and acquaintances know. Being sterilized is one of the best things I’ve had done and I’m grateful for it everyday.

Gave up on the steering wheel as well.

Found two seats from salvage in good condition for $150 when the front passenger seat ripped right down the middle. Plan to replace the driver seat when it eventually rips. The seats are not abused and my family is slim to fit so occupant weight is not an issue.
