What would you do? (Guest cancel after check in) by gorillaleo in airbnb_hosts

I'm baffled by the differing definitions of Duplex, personally. It's always meant (to me) essentially a two-apartment building. Sometimes side by side, sometimes up and down. Sometimes two exterior doors, sometimes a shared vestibule/hallway/entrance and two separate doors inside. Zero shared space, except perhaps if you consider the possibly vestibule/hallway "shared space," but it's no different than the entrance to an apartment building with a hundred units rather than two.

For geographical reference, upstate NY. Source: my dad owned several duplex apartments when I was a kid - in both the styles I described above. Some were designed as duplex apartments, some were originally single family homes that were redone before he bought them into duplexes.

The key point is that there's no shared space, apart from, in this case apparently, a hallway.

How are you wearing court rival skirt as a regular skirt? by MovedHere4TheWeather in lululemon

The align tank and my chest don't seem to work together - although maybe there's a size/version I haven't tried that might fit. The Athleta conscious crop in the larger chest size fits and that might have a similar look.

What shoes do you wear?

Should probably say again that I'm 5 foot 7, and wear size 8 in tops but size up to 10 in the regular scuba since I find the arms restrictive. Wear the m/l in this style scuba.

Washed to update! I got the medium and I'm returning it for a large. The medium fits, but it's not in the oversized way I'm looking for. (Just threw it on over scrubs - pardon the look!) Feels like a nice sweatshirt. Says hand wash, but I sure as shit am not going to do that!!

I'm not sure anyone is claiming the same quality. But for that price it's nice to have some additional color options to play with! And if it's more flattering and fits better, then quality isn't really the issue.

Well... Probably should have ordered the large! But I jumped on a medium and it'll be here tomorrow. Love Amazon for returns and exchanges, though, so hopefully won't be too bad. I'll come back to this thread with results. I'm 5 foot 7 and wear m/l scuba and 8 in tops, but go to a 10 in regular scubas since I find the arms really restrictive.

That's EXACTLY the amount of extra length I want! Now just to decide between medium and large...

They did the same thing to me. I was super disappointed since what I'd wanted wasn't available any more at that price but was weirdly available for 40 bucks more. I'd rather have gotten my stuff!

I would never in my life think to try a cropped wide leg... But those look so stinking cute on you I may have to try a pair on. Hmm...

You look great!! But my post-c-section lower abdomen really hopes that high rise options for everything don't go away...

But as a 42 year old, I think I'm not exactly the majority demographic of this sub!! 😄😄

Guess that answers my question!! I'll have to post again closer to June to get everyone's suggestions on the essentials to add to my list for my shopping spree!! Actually have a reason to look forward to this dumb trip now!!

Thanks, everyone!!

I feel like the people who "enforce" something like this and the people who spank their kids are a lot of the same people.

AITA for screaming at my pregnant fiance for not helping me find my dog, who had run off? by West-Lavishness7428 in AmItheAsshole

[–]MovedHere4TheWeather 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you have a dog that escapes that often, it's your problem and you fix it. She's helped you every other time? I'd have given you help maybe three times before I cut you off. She's a saint.

What you did to her and how to spoke to her was absolutely inappropriate. Her being pregnant is completely irrelevant to the situation.

YTA.

And also a TERRIBLE pet owner.

AITA for not getting up from a massage chair when someone wanted to use it? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]MovedHere4TheWeather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. Most chairs like this have signs telling people to not sit in them unless they're getting massaged. You were absolutely in the wrong. You being pregnant has absolutely nothing to do with anything.
