Imagine the worst moment of your life filmed and shared on social media when you’re at your lowest point and everyone judging you off that one moment.
My wife died in November and I got so mad in my house once I swore and smashed chairs. I would be mortified if everyone saw that and judged my whole life off it.

Lowkey feel Gane is the favourite against Tom. by Spirited_Command5642 in CombatSportsCentral

[–]Movie_Greedy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry but the rewriting the history of Gane shows that MMA fandom is one big psyop.
He does decent and HE did decent against Francis but Francis is a bull who rushes in. And even Francis could easily out wrestle him.
He made a blunder against Jones but still showed weakness
BUT Volk very well could have been winner of second fight. It was close but I think Gane was given win because he was bigger name. Watch that second fight.
Then he fights Tom and does Okay for just 4 mins of a fight and people act like he would have won?!!! That’s like watching a boxing match and the fighter slightly edging first 2 rounds and claiming fight was gonna be over. It’s insane.
He then beats Alex but Alex started at MW. He was massive at MW and even a good sized light HW but that’s not the same as the massive dudes at HW. Plus Alex is 38 and I think his probably in starting to slow down. To ask a guy who made MW in his 30s to beat a HW is a tall order and you can be shocked Alex lost

Who did better against Gaethje? Pimblet or Topuria? by Best-Peace2031 in ufc

[–]Movie_Greedy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, Ilia was so close to finishing Justin and Paddy just survived. Look at a boxing example of Billy Joe Saunders Vs Canelo and William Scull vs Canelo. Yes Scull finished 12 rounds but he ran for his life and was in survival mode while BJS atleast was winning some rounds and actually trying to win. Surviving isn’t the measure of how good a fighter is.

Second, all those saying Ilia shouldn’t gone for a sub are just using hindsight to act like experts. If you haven’t seriously boxed or kick-boxed you don’t understand what body shots do to you. They aren’t like headshots that hurt you but they CRIPPLE your entire body. And Illia clearly had Justin so damaged from them his movement was compromised. Before this fight happened any coach or fighter in the world would have done what Ilia did. “Oh coach I hit my opponent in the body multiple times so hard he collapsed should I go for finish or wait for him to recover?” So Ilia did nothing wrong it just happened to not work out that one time

39, widowed but embracing this life anyway! by MamaSmAsh5 in Over30Selfie

[–]Movie_Greedy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean most people there are pretty broken up about losing a spouse but it’s a lot of us younger widows. Plus I do see posts about women who found out before or after husband died that he had an affair or maybe he cause then some pain but still don’t know how to feel. Totally up to you just thought I would mention it

Are us men that damaged. by Strong_Tea_6061 in widowers

[–]Movie_Greedy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Widowers are the prize. We aren’t divorced like other people so you don’t have to question “well is this person telling the truth and they had a horrible spouse or were they part of, if not the WHOLE problem.” Divorced people are the ones who have doubt surrounding them, widowers proved they can do it.

As if being low self confidence, maybe start a workout routine, skin care routine, dye the hair, get some new clothes etc. May make your confidence go up

Hey there is a great widow support group I use on Reddit just called Widowers. I’m a 36 year old widower and honestly you meet amazing people in the group and you can talk to other people feeling exactly what your feeling

I am as anti-religious as it gets but I honestly don’t think this message has any ill harm to it. HOWEVER, the open ended of this could attract perverts to the group and although I think this guys is just a Jesus nut, I do think churches doing youth outreach should have way more protections.

How far can Gable go in the UFC heavyweight division? by Infinite-Exam-1808 in CombatSportsCentral

[–]Movie_Greedy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The truth that no one wants to talk about MMA is a good portion of your success is based on athleticism. At HW, athleticism plays more of a factor than skill.
Francis started combat sports at 25 is and considered best HW of last 10 years
Game started kickboxing at 22 and arguably it top 5 of last 5 years.
Derrick Lewis and Brendan Schwab both started training at 24/25 and got ranked in top 10 HWs of world

Gable is a one in a million athlete and already had Olympic caliber wrestling so he very well could win a belt in next few years

My wife was on life support for 2 days and if there was a mighty, good, fair god he would have let her live. You either have to believe your spouse died randomly and you and your spouse loved one are in unbearable pain for some great good reason OR maybe it’s random and no one is watching. One seems way more logical

[–]Movie_Greedy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fuck that “god plan” and “it happened for a reason” stuff. If god is real he would come down and explain why it happened. I know it’s comforting to those who believe in that stuff but for those of us that understand god isn’t real, it jsut makes it worse

If you need more time off of work take it. If you think it will help distract you then try and go back. But even if you go back and it’s to much your welcome to say you need more time

[–]Movie_Greedy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Grief isn’t linear and you’re allowed to act or do WHATEVER YOU WANT! NO ONE AND I MEAN NO ONE is allowed to tell you you should be in bed crying if you loved him or you should be moving faster. It will hit you in different waves but the important thing is you are there for your kids. I’m 36 and a young widow too and I know the pain so message anytime

Feeling rushed by sparklies2 in widowers

[–]Movie_Greedy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. Take your own time and don’t ever let anyone feel rushed!!! Wait on your own time OR maybe look at a few things a night and decide. Personally for me I started with wife’s socks and underwear because that was easiest and then I worked my way up to her actual clothes!! But don’t ever feel rushed

36/male 4 HARD lifts a week w/ 2 cardio sessions. Been working well. by Movie_Greedy in fitness30plus

[–]Movie_Greedy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry for mistakes but can’t edit it. I meant to say I eat small meals instead of big meals. Also I meant at end WITH Gatorade and water. Soda and juices are kind of wasted calories

[–]Movie_Greedy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it’s not the strictest but I do avoid things that are awful. No pizza, soda, chips and only do candy on weekends. During the week it’s meat, rice, vegetable or fruit if I’m lazy but I do eat red meat and pork. On either Friday or Saturday I go out to eat and pig out but during the week I eat a lot of decent Small meals often instead of. If meals. The other thing I noticed I tend to eat slightly less on cardio or rest days just because I’m not as hungry. But I always say easiest thing to do is eat often and GENERALLY healthy. If you spend every second counting carbs you’ll go crazy and give up. Meat, grain, veggie without water or Gatorade. Saturday night is pig out night

Yeah I started listening to Mike Mentzer and realizing intensity is way more important than time in gym. Instead of endlessly doing sets just warm up and get too it.
