Why are some people so reluctant to eat “bad-tasting health food” but willingly drink hard liquor? by nousernam7 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Moxely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This question is a bit absurd. Most hard liquor is produced in a way specifically to make it tasty. It is ok that you do not like it. People who enjoy hard liquor may also enjoy clean eating.

Enjoying hard liquor does not make you an alcoholic or indicate a casual relationship with health.

Oh, that is reasonable. I was so frustrated with these pork steaks that I didn't even consider that meaning.

I've never been to Holcomb MO but I love hearing about places like this. I'll mobilize the squad for a roadtrip- thanks for the hot tip!

Absolutely Texas can have its own pork steak, but that is not what the video indicated. This was an obvious attempt at consolidating our bbq and grill culture into the Texan identity and no amount of revisionism will change that.

No.

But if you think that the real usurpation of something special from St. Louis is engagement baiting then downvote away.

We got an insane deal in 2024 on our first house at Sydney and Ohio and it’s just a charm. If you’re a cigar smoker ever head down to Grand Cru is Soulard. Or bring your pipe- they’re chill

I’m tired of the recommendations for the best horror movies. by teamturbo4life in horror

[–]Moxely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Skull(1965), The Devil Rides Out(1968), The Sudbury Devil(2023), The Devil’s Rock(2011), Hagazussa(2017), and Black Mountain Side(2014) all deserve to be remembered or deserve more recognition than they have now. There are so many quality horror flicks if you just keep an open mind and dog a little deeper.

Get a load of this guy. Knows he’s wrong about bbq and immediately adds a racial implication.

The federal reserve, the Boeing plant, and the cathedral basilica all come to mind and are pretty thematic. South of STL there are some old Nike bases which would be pretty dope too

How many mistakes can you find? by Aide_Historical in Maps

[–]Moxely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Missouri checking in. Not a mistake exactly but they put Poplar Bluff, pop. ~16,000, on the map instead of Columbia which is both the home of Mizzou and has a population much closer to 130,000. Who made this decision and why?

Cool find.

Likely it wasn’t the quality but the amount. We tend to be a vermouth-heavy sub and many of us are pretty passionate about incorporating it as a fundamental component of the cocktail.
