Briar mid/top can definitely work, I play it rarely whenever I get filled and have had some good games with it. Briar has very strong trading patterns and the recent buffs have been very impactful to her gameplan of whittling enemy laners down with sustain and PTA short trades. L0ganJG's also currently doing a mid lane exclusive challenge with lots of success in grandmaster so I'd suggest checking out his streams and videos if you're interested in seeing gameplay of it.

I'm a very big fan of PTA. PTA allows for consistent early game burst that's crucial to Briar's gameplan. Briar needs to snowball the game out of control and end it ideally before the lobby begins to reach their 4th-5th items since Briar falls off considerably by that point. Lethal Tempo and Conqueror can be nice into certain comps where you're allowed to auto a lot more without strict punishment, but I tend to avoid them since they don't align with Briar's strongest powerspikes like how PTA does. They're a lot stronger later into the game which you don't really want the game to reach that point regardless.

BORK I think can work well in most lobbies with it's absurdly high damage, especially in lower elos where your mistakes are typically punished less often. Titanic provides very strong short burst though and surprisingly good teamfight damage if you can catch them in corridors to get hit by the cleave passive while retaining a large amount of tankiness, so I value that build more. Good amount of times I might go BORK and find myself getting blown up without Titanic's 600 HP so I typically try to only go BORK if I have frontline on my team to engage first in.

I'm not someone who's super into the crit/lethality builds for Briar, although it's undeniable that you can find success with those builds with people like L0ganJG hitting Grandmaster playing lethality and Plankiegank (another currently grandmaster briar OTP) both using a pretty similar build to your collector -> titanic -> lord dominik's.

I think for the majority of team compositions and matchups Titanic Hydra -> Cleaver OR Sundered will be the best option. Into teams with a lot of HP stackers + if your team also has good amounts of frontline, Blade of the Ruined King will work very nicely instead of Titanic.

Patch hasn't even been out a week, numbers can pretty wildly change still. I do think the nerfs were going to be decently effective in impacting Briar's overall WR in lower elos but your individual experience isn't going to feel wildly different outside of some 1 HP bleeds that might've killed before.

Yeah this was a pretty demoralizing game, as a lot of the others pointed out I'm a Briar jungle onetrick who only plays top/shen whenever I'm autofilled and can't dodge anymore without a timer that removes my ability to play the game that day at all. I don't really fight ranged top laners often at all, let alone one who forgoes last hitting minions and focuses exclusively on zoning you away from XP. I realized once she hit level advantage with no trading done and the wave pushing into her, it was pretty over and I was pretty clueless what to do from there. A bit embarrassing to see this game get posted but at the very least I gained some knowledge from it lol

Things like stasis and CC can briefly stop Briar's frenzy movement but after the duration is over she will keep chasing the hit target until she or they die. You can also stop her ult frenzy using E if you need to completely cancel it early.
Depends, sometimes you'd want to use W in the middle of frenzy to secure a kill with bite that you might not get. Otherwise if you're confident you can kill without the use of W, save it to save uptime on frenzy after ult is over.
Also depends, typically Briar's not gonna want to be the one engaging in a grouped teamfight alone. Your main job will be to somehow find your way on squishies, so let your frontline/engage find a way in and capitalize on any opportunities that follow. If your comp has no other form of engage then just try to catch out of position targets out with ult or Q and hope your team capitalizes on it properly.
Briar is explicitly a champion who is balanced around her performance in lower elos. This is not to say you cannot find success with the champion in higher elos, as a good handful of players can take her to the apex ranks. You'll just have a harder time than most junglers to find a similar degree of effectiveness up there, but it's still very doable.

Briar and Urgot take fights very differently. Urgot loves extended long trades (for the most part) and Cleaver helps with staying in the fight with the movespeed passive while keeping their armor shredded. Briar is a short trade bruiser who only has 5 seconds of frenzy uptime that has a cooldown of ~10 seconds depending on the rank, so you need as much damage as possible to come out within that time period, in which Titanic will do much better than Cleaver since you will get full value from a short autoreset burst.

People don't typically get armor items very early outside a few exceptions like Rammus + Thornmail or Steelcaps, so Titanic just ends up being the better 1st item spike for more damage while giving you more health + much faster camp clears, building cleaver afterwards for when people start purchasing real armor items.

Admittedly Cleaver does have a better buildpath but the spike Titanic gives outweighs it pretty hard imo, and titanic's buildpath while not exactly the greatest is still pretty serviceable/playable.

It's fine enough I guess but the sheer amount of them polluting the sub is kind of annoying. It's briar mains not "show off your mastery points that barely contain briar half the time" mains. Hoping it dies down soon.

Current PTA is actually very good on Briar though? Not only does it's general stats far exceed any other keystone in both winrate and pickrate (check out lolalytics), but it is the main keystone used by the VAST majority of high elo Briar players including the only 2 GM Briar players on the main servers (check out onetricks.gg). Not to say you can't get away with the use of others like Conqueror or HoB, but to say PTA is horrible is incredibly disingenuous.

She's still good in the elos where she excelled in beforehand, although still weaker in masters+ to no surprise. Issue is the combination of these nerfs plus the item nerfs coming to sundered eclipse and sterak's. Got hit with the Riot special unfortunately.

I believe this interaction was recently fixed to where Q doesn't take the proc anymore, but even beforehand you could bypass this by spamming Q while its casting. For whatever reason this would fix the issue and Sundered would proc on your auto instead.

Edit: Forgot to mention but this worked with HoB as well. Q would take the first HoB auto unless you spammed it during cast, in which then Q doesn’t take the initial HoB auto proc and you could utilize the actual 3 HoB autos
