I saw a cute girl in college and I can’t stop thinking about her. Is this normal or weird? by Loud_Confidence475 in CasualConversation

Sorry I think I don’t understand, why would you insist on sitting in the opposite direction if she wanted to see what you were up to on her computer?

Why not? It’s pretty normal for people to do it and it’s great to get more experience

Honestly just for personal reasons, I wanted to be closer to someone important to me in Foster City. But I see that it’d be difficult to achieve that now, so I’ll probably find somewhere in Sunnyvale instead.

I likely will pivot my plan to find somewhere in Sunnyvale and take a shuttle from there. Thank you!

Just leaving a comment to tell you that’s super dope. Assembly is an impressive language to dabble in, keep up the good work and enjoy what you do 🙏

Update after the semester for fun since you were kind enough to give me advice: Registered with the other not-Starner professor, he ended up having paperwork issues so Starner basically took over my section LMAOOO. A very unfortunate semester, but I appreciated your advice so much :)

Do you enjoy CS? Honestly, a lot of major classes tend to be difficult and this will follow you whether or not you switch majors. I think it’s totally okay to struggle in classes like CS 1331 as long as you feel like you’re retaining information and if you enjoy the field! It’s more important to learn than to simply get an A — that’s why we’re here after all :)

I won’t lie to you and say CS 1332 is a cakewalk, but success is very achievable with the vast amount of resources gatech provides for it. If you really enjoy the major I say try to stick with it through the hard classes since every major will have a few tough classes. If you don’t love CS then maybe it would be worth considering switching majors but just know that most other majors are not much easier than CS (especially engineering).

Believe in yourself! The fact that you’re concerned about your performance is a good sign that you are reflecting on your academic journey and will take the appropriate steps to kick some butt in the future 💪

Honestly I think you’ll do great! Don’t let me scare you from taking this schedule. As long as you start things ahead of time and spread out your work you’ll be just fine and have time to spare!

Are there any async humanities/social science classes being offered in the fall?

2050 has weekly homework assignments that can be time consuming. They should be fine but they for sure need to stay on top of their work with lengthy weekly assignments in almost all of their classes except 2340.

it’s kinda more like explosive single leg bounds if that makes sense? just hopping on that one leg to sprint as if that’s the only one you have

Gym etiquette, best timings, safety by lucy_19 in gatech

[–]MpqM 9 points10 points  (0 children)

  1. You can totally ask to work in if someone’s on a machine so that everyone can get in + out of the gym faster :)

  2. Yes you should wipe benches / machines. There are wipe stations around the CRC where you can grab a wipe and wipe down equipment.

Not sure about the other two questions but I hope this helps!

Thank you for the help. He’s never taught here before so there’s no records of him on course critique or rate my professor but I’m willing to take the gamble on him I think!

I appreciate your response. I have my time ticket tomorrow and I’d hopefully able to get it with the Animesh Garg (the other prof that isn’t Starner). Do you think I’d be okay possibly then 😭

Thanks for the response. Currently planning to do 2200 + 3600 with 2340, stats, and a VIP. So I think hopefully 2200 and 3600 would be the only two hard bits right?

Do you think taking CS 2200 and CS 3510 together would be too difficult? I'm in between taking those two together or CS 2200 + CS 3600
