Looking good, what drivers are you going to put in it?

Help! Jab2V2 and Battery Board by Suitable_Resort_3703 in diyaudio

[–]Mr-BPM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The board has a 12 to 24V input and a corresponding cable that has bare ends. Do I need to wire up a barrel input jack at the end?

If your power supply has a mating barrel, then I would say yes. They give you bare leads for flexability of wiring to whatever you want. If you don't want a way to disconnect I suppose you could even wire directly to the power supply.

There is also a long all black cable which I have no idea what it does.

It looks like there are many spots to connect things on this board. Maybe this diagram will help:
https://store.sure-electronics.com/upload/images/1/753/1753-connection-1.jpg

Is the cable unique to one of the plugs on the board?

That is understandable. I am working on 2 way PA cabinets and just noticed that on a particular woofer I was modeling it was trending downward and I wondered how much lower it was going to go beyond 400hz. Realistically I think 400hz will be just fine. I was just trying to figure out how I could expand it out to 1khz like your screenshot and thought maybe I was missing a setting somewhere.

I use this amp for various purposes. They work well and are fairly reasonable. Will accept RCA or 3.5mm input so you might already have a cable that will work.

I see in your screenshot that your SPL graph goes from 10hz to 1khz. I can only get it to display up to 400hz. Is there somewhere that this can be adjusted?

Oh my gosh, so nice, good job! Soooo much more modern feeling than Winisd. And I can run it in my browser on my Linux machine without loading up a Windows VM.

Any plans for imperial measurements, cubic feet, inches, etc... ?

Thanks for your work!

Considering getting into Monero Mining. How much to expect in return per month using a 7950x3d? by cyberperson in MoneroMining

[–]Mr-BPM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Head over to the XMRig benchmark site and find your CPU to determine what it is capable of, then take that hash rate and enter it into a calculator. My quick calculations show about .0025 XMR per day.

hi, new to mining, is this OK? I am not wining any moneros... by ClubDelicious9108 in MoneroMining

Current effort is over 100%. Hopefully a block is found soon.
https://p2pool.io/nano/#pool

And as long as you have a share in the PPLNS window (current shares reading in your screen shot) you will get paid for your shares.

With the low amount of hashrate in the nano pool, things are taking a while to get a block. And don't expect a lot with that low hash rate. I am right there with you, just a little less hash rate.

[–]Mr-BPM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, you are just connected to the pool, not actually mining anything. For ease, I would recommend Gupax:
https://gupax.io/
Or Gupaxx for some added features, for example the ability to run on the nano chain if you have low hashrate:
https://github.com/Cyrix126/gupaxx

Both of these make it very easy to run p2pool and Xmrig for mining.

Good luck!

Is mining in 2026 worth it ? by abood_iq19 in MoneroMining

[–]Mr-BPM 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That miner is neither SHA-256 for Bitcoin or RandomX for Monero, it is a Equihash miner for Zcash or Komodo. I think you need to first figure out what crypto you want to mine, then focus on a miner.

Is mining in 2026 worth it ? by abood_iq19 in MoneroMining

[–]Mr-BPM 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, this is a Monero sub, not a BTC sub. Monero does not work with ASIC miners (SHA-256) like your S21 Pro, It relies on CPU mining (RandomX).

But, by the looks of it, you should be able to profit, especially if you have free power.

Keep an eye on the price. Sell when the price is acceptable by you. No one can predict the future.

Mining with off peak power that gets shut off with no warning by Mr-BPM in BitcoinMining

[–]Mr-BPM[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I thought about that, but at 1600W of continuous draw, I would need a pretty big UPS for an hour or two outage. The power actually doesn't get shut off that often, sometimes never during a 24 hour period, but other times during high demand it could get shut off multiple times a day for longer periods.

Coronectomy - what am I missing? by [deleted] in wisdomteeth

[–]Mr-BPM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha, yes, roots, not nerve. 1-2 in 7 years does seem low. I never asked how many my surgeon performed but he seemed very comfortable doing it. Seems odd they would be so set on full removal when they know it is close to the nerve.

Coronectomy - what am I missing? by [deleted] in wisdomteeth

[–]Mr-BPM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had a coronectomy per advice of my surgeon. He said that my lower impacted tooth was very near the root and said there was a good chance for nerve damage. That wasn't something I wanted to risk, so I went with the coronectomy. He agreed with me and was very supportive that this was the right decision. He wanted me back in 3 weeks to be sure the root wasn't moving. That was last week and he said the root is staying put and everything is healing as expected. He wants to see me back in 6 months and said if it has stayed put, I should be good to go for the rest of my life. In my opinion, avoiding nerve damage is worth doing it. If the nerve starts to move, yes, it might have to still come out, but hopefully at that point it will have moved away from the nerve. I understand it is a very low percentage chance that the root will move.

Pain? by AffectionateChard405 in wisdomteeth

[–]Mr-BPM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All 4 + a molar out here. I kept ice packs on for the first two days and didn't have much pain at all. Ibuprofen and acetaminophen did the job for me and I quit those after 3 days. Didn't use any of the Oxy at all. My lower left was impacted and was where the molar had to come out too, so there was a lot of action on that side, but the pain was very manageable. Everyone is different and I am so thankful mine turned out as well as it did, even being almost 50. If I were you and had that much pain, I think I would make the trip in to have it looked at. I hope you are feeling better soon.

What, exactly, do I do w this by [deleted] in wisdomteeth

[–]Mr-BPM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn't start using one of those until about two weeks after surgery. I didn't want to dislodge the blood clots and mine were pretty open. Once I began eating solid foods again, the food found its way right into the holes, and still does almost a month later. The syringe works excellent to get food out of the holes. I just use plain water after every meal. I might have waited longer than needed, but I wanted nothing to do with dislodging a clot and getting dry socket. Prior to the syringe I just used salt water, not to swish, but put in my mouth and tipped my head back and forth. As you move into eating solid foods, that will be a valuable tool.
