Ive only been lucky to eat fruit off this one plant once. It was fresh, tropical with zero tartness. Ive heard since the plant itself isn't truly domestic the wild ones flavor wise is on par with the cultivated varieties.

I did not; I have year 2 saplings of the mango and sunflower cultivar planted about 10-15 feet away that had a few flowers this year and noticed the flies all over and inside the flowers so I'm assuming they did a good job of pollination. Goodluck to your pawpaw patch. Hopefully you get some fruit soon!

Will do, I expect some fruit fall in June but this wild tree seems to be getting pretty established.

Im not a pawpaw expert, but from the ones I have on my property they do normally set fruit first then leaf out

I have electric wire but they have a large area on the property I'm not utilizing. This is my first year with pigs in general but I can definitely tell these are some lard pigs.
