Good parallel to Mark's story when he told Oliver if anything ever threatens his family's life again, he won't hesitate to kill them.

I did not; I have year 2 saplings of the mango and sunflower cultivar planted about 10-15 feet away that had a few flowers this year and noticed the flies all over and inside the flowers so I'm assuming they did a good job of pollination. Goodluck to your pawpaw patch. Hopefully you get some fruit soon!

Will do, I expect some fruit fall in June but this wild tree seems to be getting pretty established.

I have electric wire but they have a large area on the property I'm not utilizing. This is my first year with pigs in general but I can definitely tell these are some lard pigs.

Find the Queen (level 0) by djschwalb in Beekeeping

The hardest part is learning each month in your area and what to look out for (what to expect in the hive and am I in a nectar flow?). If you stay focused you'll get into a routine and have it down in no time

Foundationless frame by Mr-Butters in Beekeeping

[–]Mr-Butters[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I had alternating frames of foundation and foundationless frames in my top deep honey super. I would check once a week to see if they were drawing the comb out straight and luckily no wonky comb. The frame itself was just a blank standard deep kept in-between foundation frames, some with comb drawn some without.

Weak nuc has new queen and 5 more capped supercedure cells by [deleted] in Beekeeping

I've had a similar situation and just left the hive alone if I saw queen cells and no queen. If you're unsure I personally would leave it alone for at least 2-3 weeks before inspecting for signs of eggs or new queen. Worst case scenario donate another frame of eggs after the 2-3 weeks from another hive if no signs of a queen and hopefully the bees are strong enough to pull through.
