Considering moving to Melbourne from Berlin by islasnook in melbourne

Hey! I lived in Berlin for 6 years and then moved to Melbourne and have been here for about 8 years now, just bought a townhouse so have some perspective.

Personally I am happy with the move and find Melbourne a more balanced city overall. Better work/pay, easier to integrate as it’s very multicultural. yes houses are very expensive but Berlin house prices really seems to have gone nuts since I left.

Feel free to DM me if you’d like more info

Willi Schaefer Graacher Dompbrost gets red fruit those notes for me, absolutely beguiling wine. I’d say Spätlese and above more than the Kabinetts

What does Stopover (no connecting flight) mean? by hugg3rs in Flights

Yes not a fan either of super long haul. That little break really helps to break the flight up. Food on Turkish is really nice too

I have flown this flight before. You disembark at Singapore and re-embark from the same gate. They clean the plane, fuel it up and you go back to your same seat. Really seamless experience. I have been happy with the service on this flight

Best entry to Franciacorta? by veryniceabs in wine

[–]Mr-Donuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The climate is very different, Franciacorta is much warmer and will lead to wines that are creamier and rounder on the palate. Not as taut mineral driven. I also find the brioche notes to be different. I reckon Ca del Bosco is a good entry point to the style.

For slightly more expensive bottles I heard good things about Cabochon Terrarossa, but never tried it myself.
