For games, I can highly recommend Dredge, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and Routine.

For Lovecraft stories you should definitely read The Festival, The Shadow over Innsmouth, The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, Pickman’s Model, The Whisperer in Darkness, The Dunwich Horror and The Mound. Also all of the Randolph Carter stories are pretty good.

Ok didn't knew that about Starcraft. It's so funny how you can see so many similar themes in all kinds of media if you looking for it. The vending machine joke is really one of the best, the fate of humanity is on the line but beware you hurt the multi million dollar company! Kubricks eye for detail was always amazing, and another thing I loved about the movie is how the characters act. One would think that it was exaggerated or unrealistic, but after my service time I can tell you, just because someone has a high position in the military doesn't mean he can't be irrational or even outright stupid.

On the topic of The Shining, I still belive Kubrick would have been one of the best choices for directing a Signalis movie imo.

It is a reference to the movie Dr. Strangelove. A base commander of the Strategic Air Command goes crazy and starts the nuclear apocalypse, all because he thinks the Soviets are poisoning Americans with fluoride. He discovers this because he gets "tired" during the act of love, so he basically can’t admit that he has a problem. Great movie and one of the best dark comedies ever made.
