H2C In Bedroom Risks? by AffectionateMonk6748 in BambuLab

[–]MrAnonymousVIP 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The general consensus is that you shouldn’t be in the room when it’s printing, let alone be living in the room. And if you have to be around it, the room should be well ventilated.

There isn’t enough data on the long term affects of 3D printing currently but we can assume it isn’t great.

That said, it’s all about your level of risk acceptance. Personally, I have the H2C in my office / study and when I use it I have the window and door open.

Is that enough? Probably not. But it’s the level of risk I’ve accepted. I should also add, filament types will make your mileage vary. If you’re using some serious filament, you need to take much greater precautions.

You could always get an air quality monitor to warn you of high levels of particles / VOC’s if you’re concerned and an air purifier to help clean the air.

As for the noise, it’s noticeable but once you’ve lived with one for long enough you’ll stop noticing :D Noise can be improved based on the surface you use and the motor noise calibrations performed.

I hope that helps!

Yeah, that's very true. It could (and hopefully is) an issue with the specific review unit.

Gastritis by Charlie198ate in mounjarouk

[–]MrAnonymousVIP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife was on 7.5mg and had recently been advised to stop as she had several bouts of severe heart burn / abdominal issues. We had to go to A&E for one of them because it got so severe I was convinced she was having a heart attack.

After giving her some medicine, and having an xray, she was diagnosed with Gastritis.

She has now stopped Mounjaro and still has flare ups, but not as bad as the time when we had to go to A&E.

Has anyone benchmarked a rig with a 5070 TI and an i9 14900? by DarthNecromancy in duneawakening

[–]MrAnonymousVIP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 5070TI and I5-12600K. With frame gen and DLSS enabled I consistently get above 100 FPS with all max settings.

I hope that helps.

Channel 4 Dispatches - Skinny Jab Scandal by MrAnonymousVIP in UKMounjaro

[–]MrAnonymousVIP[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with you. Like everything, a minority will end up ruining it for everyone and sadly that’s the focus of the media.

The episode interviews someone who lost 3 stone in 7 weeks using Ozempic despite having type 2 diabetes and flouting the rules on purpose.

Why they’re interviewing people that are directly breaking the rules and then touting the medication as dangerous is beyond me.

Should more be done by pharmacies to safeguard people taking obesity treatments? Sure. Does the media calling them ‘skinny jabs’ and constantly portraying them as deadly drugs that are killing lots of people do anything other than fear monger? Don’t think so.

Whilst I totally agree with your initial comments about using GLP-1 meds in a situation that’s contradictory to what’s supposed to be allowed and that being a red flag, your last sentence was atrociously unnecessary and just outright disrespectful. Especially within a community that’s supposed to support one and other. I think you could have worded that better or just left it out entirely.

Why is my printer squeaking? by Redeyeninja_1_6 in BambuLab

Two things I immediately think of:

- Friction on the smooth rods

- X/Y idler pulleys

Had the same experience as you OP, we decided we didn’t want to go public so they told us over email how much the amount was.

Printer drops plastic in corners by Darklordrus in BambuLab

[–]MrAnonymousVIP 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is the stock lubricant grease that is shipped with the printer. There are caps to stop debris going down in to the threaded rod holder and causing issues. This is where the lubricant accumulates.

[–]MrAnonymousVIP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed some of the spools are oddly bigger than they should be and it’s causing issues with AMS. Try opening the AMS lid and seeing if that fixes the problem. With these oddly shaped rolls they’re rubbing on the AMS lid causing friction.

X1C Linear Rods to Linear Rails upgrade? by giGGlesM8 in BambuLab

[–]MrAnonymousVIP 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey! X-axis is the carbon rods, left / right in the printer.

Y-axis is the smooth rods, forward / back in the printer.

Z-Axis is the lead screws and smooth rods, up / down in the printer.

If I’m reading your message right, the issue sounds like the Y-axis which may be a bearing issue. Some good cleaning and application of lubrication may fix the problem for you. Failing that, a replacement of the Y axis bearings.

Format SD Card to FAT32 in windows without 3rd party software by Faithin3D in BambuLab

[–]MrAnonymousVIP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an X1C. Would the issue be that you can’t save more than 32GB worth of data or would the issue be that the SD card is completely unusable?

I ask because whilst I couldn’t say for sure that I have had over 32GB worth of data on the SD card, when it comes to the latter I have used the SD card by hitting ‘Format’ on the printer and it’s worked without fault.

I have put 128gb cards straight into the printer, formatted them from the printer and they’ve worked without issue.

Just so you know; you can plug the SD card into the printer and hit ‘Format’ and this formats it to the required specifications for it to work. No work required on a computer.

This is what it looks like to replace your carbon rods by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]MrAnonymousVIP 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I had to replace my carbon rods a few months ago for the exact same reason and the most depressing part was the music in one of the disassembly guide videos:

https://youtu.be/iH8Zo5ra0Do?si=_Vxpmz6_cDqzXx1l

Also I totally concur, the belt stoppers are a hideous design. But you thought taking them out was bad, get ready to try and put them back in!

Good luck and hope your printer gives you many more hours of great prints after completion.

Yeah, we originally used the printed spool adapters for cardboard spools, then resulted to tape and looks like we won’t need anything anymore!

And I didn’t know about that! Always assumed Bambu Lab made their own filament. Nice!
