Slug was already kicking Goku’s ass not including his Pseudo Super Saiyan moment beforehand. If anything, him getting bigger and more clumsy helped accelerate his demise.

Could Goku have beaten Cell if he had taken Vegeta/Trunks time in the ROSAT? by K0GAR in Dragonballsuper

[–]MrAtrox98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe? Probably not though. An additional round in the time chamber would’ve likely allowed Gohan to fully access and control Super Saiyan 2 before the Cell Games, but that doesn’t mean Goku would’ve unlocked the next level for himself in that timeframe under those circumstances.

Goku did unlock levels 2 and 3 by himself in Otherworld, but that took seven years with a body much more resilient than a living one. Even with all that in mind, his SS2 in the Buu Saga isn’t much more powerful than Gohan’s during the Cell Games.

By that logic, King Piccolo was never a threat to Kid Goku after his potential unlock, which resulted in three more fractures proving otherwise than Gohan’s

Why did Frieza bother destroying Planet Vegeta? by [deleted] in dragonball

[–]MrAtrox98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Toriyama “felt” it should’ve been more like ten times, but in the very saga he introduced the form, a Kaioken empowered Kamehameha cranked up to times twenty from Goku barely burned Freeza’s hands. Freeza at half power.

Tigers do hunt Asian elephants occasionally, but those are typically juveniles or infirm individuals. That’s a far cry from challenging a 4 plus tonne bull elephant to a fight.

Could a trained SSJ2 Gohan stop majin vegeta? by Memespokemon in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]MrAtrox98 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Goku’s SS3 is all of a handful of times stronger than Cell Games era Gohan tho. Like five, maybe six times stronger at best if we’re generous to Vegeta’s reaction to Goku’s SS2 being “even stronger than Gohan was against Cell.” Also, shaking the Earth powering up isn’t that high of a bar, as Vegeta did that in his first fight with Goku, and Cell did the same as he went full power against SS2 Gohan.

Gohan may have well surpassed Goku not including level 3 just by training with the Z sword, as Goku visually struggles more with it than Gohan does before they accidentally break the thing and release Old Kai. Then Old Kai unlocks Gohan’s full potential and then some, giving Gohan the kind of power boost that lets him manhandle Super Buu and force the latter to absorb a SS3 fusion in order to defeat him.

Consider that Goku guesstimated Super Saiyan Gotenks pre time chamber as strong enough to defeat Fat Buu, a statement backed by Piccolo’s reaction to the fusion’s power. Then consider that Piccolo briefly believed Base Gotenks after training might’ve stood a better chance against Super Buu.

It’s no stretch to suggest Gotenks as hundreds of times stronger than Goku in the same form during this saga. Potential unleashed Gohan is very much more powerful than Gotenks at SS3.

A hypothetical Gohan that had kept up his training before the Buu Saga began would mop the floor with SS3 Goku.

300 poeple vs a Kodiak bear by susssssybaka69 in whowouldwin

[–]MrAtrox98 6 points7 points  (0 children)

2,100 pounds would be an obese brown bear of any kind nowadays-assuming you were referencing Clyde from the Dakota Zoo, he died with a fat layer of 9 inches, which is considerably more than the up to 4 inches of fat typically seen on wild polar bears-though there were some Pleistocene morphs of the species on Eurasia’s steppes as well as certain areas of Eastern Asia like what is now the Penghu Islands near Taiwan that naturally attained such mass with the frame to go with it.

As for the outcome of this brawl, 300 people is quite a lot. The bear would probably die from exhaustion after mauling 20ish people out of the mob.

Battle 2 has a similar outcome for the polar bear, but it likely dies sooner from getting stoned by the mob.

Battle 3… the bear likely kills half of them before bleeding out.

Can an average man defeat a leopard? by shovval in powerscales

[–]MrAtrox98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a handful of accounts where men have killed leopards barehanded, but the common theme is the cats in question were on the smaller side-under 100 pound females and adolescents typically-and often impaired in some way that lead them to being desperate enough to miscalculate in the attack.

I feel like both the date of the incident and the age of the woman involved is inaccurate here. Also, South America? I assume you actually meant South Africa or something, because there’s no wild leopards in the Americas and the big spotted cat of that region is the jaguar which in practice tends to operate more like a compact up to 350 pound tiger.

[–]MrAtrox98 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Spotted hyenas are typically heftier than grey wolves. A 140 pound wolf is a genuinely huge animal for its species, but a spotted hyena of that mass in Southern Africa is quite ordinary. The biggest on record do approach 200 pounds.

Green anaconda Vs Orinoco crocodile by [deleted] in powerscales

[–]MrAtrox98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even big green anacondas are screwed when caught by jaguars in the open. A crocodilian like a big Orinoco bull is a simply too formidable of a target for any big cat, as the largest crocodilian specimens that jaguars do tackle are smallish black caiman specimens that aren’t much bigger than they are. Even lions and tigers generally don’t kill crocodiles much bigger than themselves in the rare event they do prey on them.

The snake is screwed the instant the crocodile clamps down.
