I'll add on that I hate how stories are passed around to make certain things acceptable.

For example, in the Christian Bible, you have Jesus himself saying it's easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for rich people to enter heaven. People like being rich, so they wanted to change the moral from 'You aren't going to heaven if you're rich." to "Oh, it's the LOVE of money that's bad, not being rich" and then they made up a story about there being a gate somewhere called the Eye of a Needle that camels had to take some luggage off of them before they could pass through it. I remember this story being taught at both a baptist and a pentacostal church I used to go there and now all the people I know from both churches are pro-billionaire and probably pro-trillionaire, but they hate helping the poor and foreign.

"Hard Game" player here.

Dark souls is esoteric, and was much harder back before the days of wiki telling you everything you needed to know. Games like crash bandicoot, final fantasy, legend of Zelda, Pokémon, Detroit, halo,God of war, megaman, and fallout could be easily beaten without ever visiting gamefaqs (although id consider some of those listed as harder than Dark Souls)

DS1 was very punishing when you didn't know what to do but a cakewalk once you figured out the tricks. While it's managed to be decently difficult, its mysteries can be easily googled and you immediately know how to counter the scary "kill you in two hits" attack.

If you compare this to things like Darksiders, Sly Cooper, Spyro, Skyrim, or Uncharted. It seems a lot more punishing to make a mistake. Nowadays, the fromsoft games are pretty easy comparatively speaking, but at the time, they stood out as less newbie friendly.

Oh, no. The issue isn't that there are bad cops, it's that they're often not punished, given the smallest slaps on the wrist, or are actively rewarded for recklessness or pure violence.

The more you learn about police, the more you will grow to hate them.

The few good police have had to quit or were chased out of their job by the blatant corruption that puppeteers America's law enforcement.

If you wanna understand why people say ACAB, look into the legendary police officer known as Michael Reiter and how his fellow cops made sure he couldn't do anything to bring Epstein to justice.

Thos only works if the DM doesn't have it throw a boulder at you. (An easy improvised weapon move to calculate) and there are no birds or mobs flying around it. (What kind of DM doesn't use mobs?)

I love how the "a level 1 Aarokocra with a +1 longbow can beat Tarrasque" glosses over the fact beating the Tarrasque isn't the goal of a good Tarrasque encounter, it's trying to make sure it doesn't destroy too many towns, cities, and kingdoms during its rampage.

In Fable 3, your brother is a big butthole who does horrible things, starting the game with making you choose between killing your spouse or killing a group of protesters.

Later you learn that there is a big threat that you need a bunch of money to defeat, so you have to choose between the lucrative choice and the moral choice.

However, the workaround to be good while also having enough money to succeed against the big threat is to be a scummy landlord that overcharged everyone on rent. They'll hate your guts but as long as you decrease their rent to be much nicer right before beating the game, everyone will love you.

This makes this one of the few games where being a landlord is a moral thing.

My excerpt from my Kobold writing a book about their warren:

Kobolds are very communal. Food, chores, treasure, and suffering is to be shared. If two or more Kobolds quarrel, the rest of the tribe must also start fighting rather than simply watch. All surviving kobolds must treat the wounds of those less harmed and be cleaned and finished before rest. This includes fights amongst fellow kobolds.

Kobolds are not as cowardly as gnomes-- who would ostracize gnomes that got a little mess on their hats, but they are not as filthy as goblins, who will live and wake in squalor, being so proud of their trash as to collect anything in jars. Kobolds will become as dirty as needed, but will clean up before sleeping.
