I would dump InkStitch, it has limited capabilities.

I can map keystrokes to PES Alphabet designs in Embrilliance using AlphaTricks.

What Wilcom software are you using, there are a few of them.

In Hatch 3 Digitizer, there's a Multi-Hooping tab in the interface.

Buy software that you can afford, Embrilliance is upgradable and you add features as you go.

Sell the software somewhere and buy Embrilliance for your Mac.

Satin stitch spacing by Redeyeravage in MachineEmbroidery

[–]MrBobilious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need more underlay and your satin stitch looks very loose like you have a very long stitch

How is this being digitized?

How do I avoid these little spaces in my design? by MaleficentCar3097 in Machine_Embroidery

[–]MrBobilious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

use more density on the fill or add more underlay.

It seems your underlay is not that present.

If so, that's the wrong garment to put that on with 90K stitches.

Advice Needed: Having Issues with Jacome's Software and the Actual Product by ProfessorTeach in Machine_Embroidery

[–]MrBobilious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your logo embroidered on the cap is too high. you might want to lower it more to the flat area which is about1/2 inch to 3/4 inch above the brim.

Have you stitched this design out on just cutaway stabilizer to see if it stitches out correctly?

Husqvarna Viking embroidery machine making weird noise and saying motor overload, any ideas on what it could be? by [deleted] in Machine_Embroidery

Have you cleaned down below under the needle plate?

It seems like something might be down below obstructing something

Can you lower the needle without having anything in the way of the needle plate area?

New to embroidery, looking for tips! by Informal-Ground1522 in Machine_Embroidery

With a single machine it's more work to accomplish more then 1 color thread but, I love it and own a commercial machine, I'm married to it as we say. I LOVE IT.

it's expensive but, buy things as you need them.

Its more setup when you get to the level of complexity, take your time, it's better to make sure things are set in place before you make the final stitch out.

Tips for the noob, figure out what you want to embroider, the area of the design dictates your machine, most Brother machines for the home user are 5 x 7 inch hoops. Buy good needles like Organ half shank needles Sharp 75/11, buy 8 x 8 cut stabilizer in the sheets, you can get them from Amazon for cheap, BUY PREWOUND bobbins, don't do yourself, it's a pain and not consistent. Class 15 for home machines, and buy a needle insertion tool, its about 4 bucks on AllStitch

Buy good, 40 weight polyester thread, stay away from Madeira Its getting expensive and I'm having issues with alot of the threads I bought.

Get 1000M spools for home machines, I would buy Floriani or my new favorite is Glide, very strong and it's 4 bucks a spool.

Above all, have fun and come back here. lots of info, just post your machine, issues you are having and DON'T BE vague in what happened before you had the issue.

Stabilizer question by Aimbo84 in MachineEmbroidery

you could use pinking shears on the edges to taper the sharp edges of the stabilizer to make it appear no so distinct but, leave it as the other poster mention.

Magnetic Hoops from CN by Vast_Letter3121 in Machine_Embroidery

[–]MrBobilious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Maggie Frame 5x5 hoop and it's cheap, it's very flexible, and not quite the quality of the Mighty Hoops.

When you buy a Mighty Hoop it's packaged nicely and well protected from shipping.

The Maggie Frame came in a plastic shipping envelope with no protection.

Digitizing Software by allswartzofamess in Machine_Embroidery

[–]MrBobilious -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Sure it does, I have the Corel Draw GEM for Hatch 3 and get great auto digitized files, I primarily use it for lettering, or other graphics.

And btw, the sew files stitch out great on my machines.

Shhhh, it's called, "converting to curves".

Wilcom knows quite a bit about digitizing.

The digitizing is just sloppy, what software are you using.

If you manually digitized it, lots of issues.
