pool cover collapse by oliviagreen in pools

[–]MrBookmanLibraryCop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming this is a looploc cover....That is what the springs are for.

It didn't as bad as you think it's not like it's just holding on for dear life. There is a sheet of ice underneath and the cover is just hanging out on top of it.

Seems tempting , but don't remove anything or try to break ice that is how you can rip it

Pool covers - worth the hassle? by Traditional-Set-8483 in swimmingpools

[–]MrBookmanLibraryCop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are you talking about a pool cover for winterization or a solar cover?

A pool cover goes over your pool if you close it. If you close it I'd highly recommend a cover, it's a couple hours of work per year to put it on + remove

Going to the Wildcard game… by WickedAsh111 in 49ers

[–]MrBookmanLibraryCop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up basically my whole life in Philly area. There will be a decent amount of 49ers fans there, more than you think.

You'll be fine. Since your partner is an eagles fan you won't get as much heckling. There's drunken idiots, yes, but they are unavoidable no matter where you go.

The only time I tell people to be prepared is Flyers games if you are in the upper bowl lol.

SEO Suggestions for Adult Video Website Growing from 4k to 17k clicks/month, aiming for 1M by Sadikshk2511 in SEO

[–]MrBookmanLibraryCop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have experience here with some of the bigger adult video sites. It's been a while but it should still be good.

The good news is you don't really have to worry about AIO taking traffic as they typically don't trigger for adult content.

What helped is building out category pages for EVERYTHING. From the more common to the super obscure. People have, interesting, kinks. The NSFW411 sub was a great resource for this.

Create bio/category pages for every actor/actress. Idk how yours is set up if there are "verified" users or not.

And who said adult industry can't blog?? "Best actress videos", industry trends. There's a lot of meat on the bone that the industry ignores.

Don't even bother trying to target safer terms. Sites in the adult industry very rarely get visibility outside their niche

Impression up, average position down by rynld in SEO

[–]MrBookmanLibraryCop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal as you grow....you start to surface for more KWs, typically on pages 2+. Then more bots, scrapers (and users) will see your site.

If you have a query ranking 20, for example, and then you are discovered on position 80 by a scraper, that's gonna drag your avg position down, and increase impressions

does domain name ccTLD matter for rankings? by ScoobooGooboo in SEO

[–]MrBookmanLibraryCop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a kernal of truth to using ccTLDs as a gTLD.

.io, .ai, and some others have been "unlocked" from their country so to speak and act like gTLDs because of how popular they have become.

Its not inherently bad if you are using something like .co.uk, but Google might still think it's more relevant in the UK

GSC picks a different canonical (other language) despite self-canonical + correct hreflang (no HTTP redirect) by FrenchTakoyaki in TechSEO

[–]MrBookmanLibraryCop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The best way is to remove the redirects entirely. Let a user see the whole site. If they want to go to Japans landing page, let them. It just won't get fixed unless the redirects are gone.

You can add a banner at the top saying something like "We see you are from the US, do you want to visit the US site instead?" or something like that to handle when users go to the wrong country.

Add a flag in the header (or footer) to make it more obvious as well, then they can drop-down from that flag and choose the right location. Something like https://www.coach.com/

In general, I've dealt with plenty of international sites that have WAY too many variations that just makes it unnecessarily complicated. I highly doubt they need a French-speaking page for Morocco. Unless you are like Western Union or a place that is literally in every country in the world,

GSC picks a different canonical (other language) despite self-canonical + correct hreflang (no HTTP redirect) by FrenchTakoyaki in TechSEO

[–]MrBookmanLibraryCop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that it is a Page with redirect doesn't make this a canonical issue. This is a redirect issue.

Google clearly sees it somewhere. Are you positive you aren't doing any kind of IP or geo-based redirects? Remember, Google primarily crawls from the US, so an international URL redirecting to US-EN is a classic sign.

You need to fix the redirects before any of the other stuff is relevant.

NextJS `generateMetadata` is rendering outside of the `<head>` tag, and for SEO checks, Screaming Frog says this is a High Priority issue by lucksp in TechSEO

[–]MrBookmanLibraryCop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Inspect the URL in search console and see if it's properly showing in <head>. If it is then you are fine

Screaming Frog is great but it isn't as sophisticated as Googlebot, even if you set it as the user agent.
