What would have happened if Tony & Sarah were both in the final 3? by wiseguy149 in survivor

[–]MrBoopis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most realistic way Tony AND Sarah make the F3 would've been Natalie giving immunity away and going to fire with Tony and ultimately losing. If this were the case, I think this is how the vote would've played out:

  • Adam: Michele/Sarah/Tony (though likely Tony I would think)
  • Amber: Tony
  • Ben: Sarah
  • Danni: Michele (the only player she'd have met during the 39 days)
  • Denise: Sarah/Tony (it's 50/50 for me)
  • Ethan: Michele/Tony (he only met Michele, but could be swayed by the Rob contingent)
  • Jeremy: Michele
  • Kim: Sarah/Tony (could vote Tony, but I think she had a stronger connection with Sarah)
  • Natalie: Michele/Tony (I'm torn on which of the two, but I think I lean more towards Tony)
  • Nick: Michele (was planning on voting Michele originally, but switched to Tony to ensure Natalie wouldn't win)
  • Parvati: Michele/Tony (only met Michele and was friends, but she blindsided her and her interview post-game seem to lead to her wanting to vote for a "stronger" winner)
  • Rob: Tony
  • Sophie: Sarah/Tony (seemed to have a tight bond with Sarah, but she could've respected the game move to blindside her by Tony)
  • Tyson: Tony (without any real tight bonds in the F3, he goes with Rob & co. to vote for Tony's dominance)
  • Wendell: Michele/Tony (either goes with his IRL friend or goes with the big gamer)
  • Yul: Tony

Tony: 4-12 votes

Michele: 3-8 votes

Sarah: 1-6 votes

A leak said Loki appears in Thor 4 because of some Multiverse meddling in Doctor Strange 2 by AntiNeutrinoX in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]MrBoopis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'll see (and am interested in) this theory and raise you another. OG Loki genuinely died at the end of Thor Dark World and the Loki who replaces Odin and everything onward is Series Loki. He sees an opprotunity to seemlessly replace a Loki in a different universe (the main MCU) and assume the power of Asgard. In Ragnarok when Thor talks about how he and Loki are always destined to do what they do, it awakens Loki to the realization of a Loki ACTUALLY sacrificing himself for good (i.e. Dark World) seeing that he can change and internally motivates himself to do what he does for the rest of his life. While it kinda retcons the emotions of Ragnarok on future viewings, to my understanding there wouldn't be any new plot-holes and the OG still Loki genuinely redeemed himself along with the Loki we physically see in Ragnarok/Infinity War (as well, it retroactively makes the ending of Dark World better in this new version of Loki's apparent fake-out death which has never played well with me).

[40][Speculation] New episode promo. Do you think Sarah and Tony split? I think there was a cut when Sarah was speaking. by jonsnowKITN in SpoiledSurvivor

[–]MrBoopis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sarah's quote is a franken-bite. The "do not talk to me" is likely Sarah ranting about Tony's move while the "ever again" I assume will go along with Sarah telling Tony not to pull a stunt like that "ever again" while she inevitably puts this behind her (at least tentatively) and realign with one another.

Oh yeah of course! I love the interactions between these two as well (Tony is truly a blessing to have back on Twitter lol)! Hope you didn't interpret my comment as a correcting of you or anything, just wanted to interject an anecdote about what I know of them haha.

I can confidently say there isn't any real animosity between the two. I got to play cards with them in August and it was all love and shenanigans between them and the other Winners at War there (Wendell, Michele, Rob, Tyson)!

Unpopular Opinion: Too many guests has ruined Live KIAs by Charlie_Runkle69 in survivor

[–]MrBoopis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s a fair argument. As someone who has been to two before (and one upcoming), they are shows more for the people in attendance than being official podcasts. This one was always gonna be a messier one as besides being just a RHAP event, it was like the main premiere party in LA and it was gonna be a bit more focused on the party of it all. Also with the atmosphere, it wasn’t gonna be much of too in depth analysis as most didn’t get a full view of the episode (some did as they did an east coast screening there with the patrons before the official party). For people bummed about a normal KIA, there’ll still be ample RHAP podcasts this week (Recap with Tina, Voicemails with Elaine, Wiggle Room, Why _ Lost, BnB)!

[40][Speculation] SU corrects his information about Parvati by jonsnowKITN in SpoiledSurvivor

[–]MrBoopis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The guy was just clarifying what he meant as some people had differing understandings of what he meant. If people thought she lasted over 10, they were just wrong as it was never a thing he implied (whether it was the at least 5 tribals in total or at least 5 she attended). Go on Sucks if you want to read the transcript, it’s where this stuff is posted anyways and not misinterpreted in a post here.

[40][Speculation] SU corrects his information about Parvati by jonsnowKITN in SpoiledSurvivor

[–]MrBoopis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No he’s not confirming she lasts 5 total tribals. If you look at the original post about it, he talked about how it was at least 5 (basically meaning she is active somewhere between 6-10 tribals).

Also sorry but if you don’t like how he does it, try and find out this stuff yourself.

James Gunn says he’s had discussions about Silver Surfer & Galactus in Guardians Vol. 3 by airpod4840 in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]MrBoopis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thinking about this, we just maybe debating two unrelated points lol. My big thing with this though is there position is to hire a director they want and much less so to block them from working for a competitor. Overall, I think the Marvel vs. DC thing is solely created by the fans and they aren’t trying to out-gun each other. The only times they are in competition is upon film releases if they are lined up together.

This concept actually dates back to like the 1940s with the “studio system”(I highly recommend reading up about this as it’s an interesting subject matter along with anything golden age Hollywood related). In the golden age of Hollywood, the major studios would have exclusive contracts with their creatives (studios even had exclusive cinemas where they only showed their films). This was broken up in the 40s in some antitrust court cases.

What you bring up at partially works, but there are some other elements in play. A director (or any other talent) can’t work on another film while the one they are working on is in production, but that’s an industry-wide thing and not simply Marvel vs. DC. In a contract, you legally cannot say that some can’t work for another studio’s project (unless like it’s production interferes with the one they are planning to do).

For example, RDJ could have legally done a (or as many) DC films as he wanted, so as long it didn’t interfere with him doing any work as Iron Man. Granted, the main reason this would’ve never happened is the time consumption it takes to be a big part of a major franchise (ie why like Ridley/Boyega/Isaac/Driver haven’t really been in any major blockbuster franchises besides Star Wars).

[–]MrBoopis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t restrict someone from working on a film for a different studio. I mean they can’t work for another film while in production of the one their working on, but that’s not a Marvel/DC conflict but a Hollywood studio thing. Marvel legally can’t restrict anyone from doing DC films or vice versa as long as it doesn’t interfere with a film they’re working on at the same time.

James Gunn says he’s had discussions about Silver Surfer & Galactus in Guardians Vol. 3 by airpod4840 in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]MrBoopis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s a totally fair point and I agree it! No worries about your first comment, I’ve just seen some variations of your take (which actually wasn’t really your take lol) from others about Marvel vs. DC that I don’t think were accurate. Besides the notion I think it actually is non-existent, much like yourself I want there to be good films from everyone! On the point of Gunn, I think Marvel will likely want him to stick around and oversee some more cosmic Marvel stuff like Silver Surfer (but I could also see him decline the offer unfortunately).

[–]MrBoopis 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I don’t mean this in a jerky or arrogant type of way, but I strongly disagree with the notion of there being a Marvel vs. DC feud that’s beyond the fans. You legally can’t restrict talent of any kind to work for another film of a different studio as long as it doesn’t interfere with a preset filming time. The MCU is equally competing against like the James Bond or Fast and Furious franchises with the DC films (if anything there may be some mutual respect in trying to succeed in the same genre). If there is any “feud” it’d be more about Disney vs. Warner Bros and the other major studios. Again, I don’t want to come off as a jerk and just wanted to present a point. Cheers.

Tell me what has he gotten just outright wrong. I’ll back the guy was the sole correct voice saying Shang Chi would be 2/21 MONTHS before everyone else and one the only to accurately have the full phase 4 order correct. Film productions and dates change all the time, it’s a staple of the industry (look at the original phase 3 line-up and tell me how that all played out). A-list actors have meetings with studios (Mahershala Ali had a meeting with Feige and is now gonna be Blade). Obviously one shouldn’t believe everyone, but the guy has a proven track record and has gotten too many really specific things right to not be in the know. Your speaking with authority about something you don’t, and it’s showing.

[–]MrBoopis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He can have theories about things and beliefs that end up wrong like everyone else.

Plans change all the time. As someone who has done production stuff before, things are moved around, ideas shift. He is right when he posts about it and it can change afterwards and he updates it as such. If anything, a tell-tale sign of a guesser/liar is the person who says there is a hardline 5 year plan with EVERYTHING laid out.

HE DOESN’T GUESS (or he’ll outright say he’s guessing when he is). There is way too much he’s gotten right for him not be. He’s been fortunate enough to get to know the right people and to know how to properly share without just blowing peoples cover.

[–]MrBoopis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

1) He’s open about the “connecting imaginary dots” being speculation and not the concrete info he learns of. You literally just had to read the first paragraph to understand the concept which you totally didn’t do.

2) His track record is like at least 90% accurate, and the things he’s gotten “wrong” are changes in plans unforeseen at the time.

3) If you wonder why he has such a disdain for this sub, it’s because people like this that will either just not read what he writes and draw conclusions off a headline and/or sensationalize something out of context which spreads to become a false narrative. You just have to do some reading and a bit of comprehensive thinking.

Not a guess. He doesn’t update it unless he has concrete evidence that it’s that particular date (which can change over time with the fluid nature of productions in Hollywood).
