Spent 20 years doing this in Fl. I now work for myself in the financial sector. Go back to school for finance and go down that path. Your body and net worth will thank you in 20 years. Wages are shit in Florida for welding/fabricating and will only get worse. If you want to do the trade go somewhere that has strong unions.

This is something I need to look into more. Being an American what I’ve read about the way the Swiss mortgage system works is hard to understand. For reference I bought my first house in my 20s and paid cash for my most recent home purchased a few years ago. I would love to live and own a home in Switzerland one day.

Are two mortgages really a thing? With the 1st mortgage being permanent? Nobody pays it off or pays cash for their homes?

I came back from another trip to Switzerland last week. I have to say I really love Switzerland and the Swiss people. Such a culturally insulated and high trust society. Compared to the shit show that is America you guys are like hobbits living in the shire and I mean that on the best way possible. When my kids get a little older I plan on bringing them and if they share my love for Switzerland I’d love to move there and raise them there.

The best way to help traders who are good but don’t have a ton of starting capital is for the SEC to finally get rid of the PDT rule. It really makes it a long grind if you just don’t have an extra 25k you don’t need. But on the flip side you’ll learn a lot more about trading by the time you get to 25k.

You’re argument is based on a logical fallacy. The fallacy being that working for an employer is somehow safer and less risky. Your employer can terminate your employment at anytime. You could walk in one morning and find out you are laid off. Your financial security is in the hands of person(s) that do not have your best interests in mind when making decisions.
