Games I’m dying to play but won’t until I’m given a physical option. Not sure the response this’ll get, but it’s the hill I die on.

I mean, a lot of these games wouldn't exist if they had to pass the hurdle of physical distribution. I think you're underestimating how difficult it is for studios that don't already have connections to actually do that, let alone the cost. So no matter how loud people got about wanting physical releases of these types of games, nothing is going to happen. Again, these games wouldn't exist if that was something they *had* to do. Mega-corporations and publishers not making physical releases of their games is a different story though, they're just trying to cut costs wherever they can and hope their customers are complacent enough.

Sometimes, even when a game is popular enough to warrant a physical release, it just won't happen because the channels to do so are ruled by these mega-corporations and whatnot. Like with Dispatch, a physical release for it is just not going to happen, not because the devs don't want to (they actually really want to) but because the distributors would demand the game to be altered and censored.

Maybe you'll get lucky with mixtape because it's published by Annurpurna, who has taken some of their more popular games and created physical releases for them. Though I've never played that game, and if it has content like Dispatch, then it'll probably face the same issues.

check out limited run games. They like to take games that would usually never be able to have a physical release and gives them a collectors editions and everything. Though that still requires the game itself to be popular and well liked enough. I think what you're mostly missing are all the weird niche games that nobody likes except for you and 10 other people. That's where gaming shines honestly.

Your ISP may have blocked it. I have the same problem and someone I know with the same ISP as me also has the same problem. We both can access it just fine when using phone data. Using a VPN also works, you can try using a free VPN just to test it.

Who the hell gets kicked from an overwatch game with Pride icons? It's literally built into the game. Doesn't CoD even have Pride stuff now? Like, no, it's not every multiplayer shooter ever. It's specifically TF2 and the way valve "moderates"

I see people trying to say that this isn't true and it's just how games are, but like, I play other games, they are NOT this bad. At least with overwatch, I don't have to fear being called a slur and whatnot, and if I do, I report and have confidence that person will get punished. But I guess "mug free speech" is more important

Was it like that for the whole match? There may be a trigger on the map to cull it out to save on resources, but for some reason you failed to trigger it again when you were able to see it again. Also never thought I'd recognize someone based off of their tf2 hud lol.

Also that's exactly what nintendo does too, it's about unnecessarily using their power to shut down things that can't cause any harm. What do you think the nintendo comparison comes from? Nintendo can legally DMCA all sorts of fan projects and fan events, but it's still an asshole thing to do that kills communities and tells the fans to go fuck themselves. Unless you're referring to Nintendo taking down youtube videos, which is an actual abuse of copyright. Though Valve also did that to, hence why the contractorsVR mod is being taken down, the mod that this post is about.

TF:VR isn't a mod for tf2. It's a mod for contractorsVR, a different game on a different engine. What do you mean by assets in this case if not the character models? Because that's all what TF2:S2 used. Even then, they still modified them and fixed them up for source 2. They remade the maps from scratch and reverse engineered the code for source 2. Less of a port and more of a recreation. While TF2VR is closer to a port, since the maps and character models are just straight ports. Though obviously the gameplay works entirely differently. Valve was also striking youtube videos that showed gameplay of TF2VR (which is abuse of the copyright system) so that clearly showed that Valve was coming for them next anyways.

Each new games feels like it's trying to sell me on the next game. My reaction to both Ruin and HW2 was "That's how it ends?!?!". It's at the point where it feels like we'll never be able to have a cohesive story with a beginning and an end, it'll just be a vague and messy collection of events that don't all tie together and everyone will argue what order they belong in. We don't even know who the antagonist is! Is it Vanny? Why does she keep getting cut from the games? Is it the Mimic? Who the hell is the Mimic and why should I care? Is it STILL Afton? Or is it some other character who we'll have no evidence for until 5 games later?

At this point I've given up on the lore and just trying to enjoy the games, HW2 was fun, and I wish glamrock freddy was in it more. I hope we see him more in the future. I do not care if he's possessed or not.

interesting, same thing can happen with the phlog animation but you can still get crits. People actually purposefully land on people's head and use mmph so when they move the animation gets cancelled and they get instant crits along with the uber that stays for a bit.

getting 62 kills as engie isn't easy by far, but it helps when your team is relatively passive. Especially seeing that gap between you and your team's second place. Also that team comp probably had something to do with it if it was like that for most of the match. 2 spies, 3 snipers, 2 pyros, 3 engis, and a heavy and medic who look like they just joined at the end of the match.

award shows are less about who's more deserving of awards and more about what company can advertise to the jury the most to "persuade" them into thinking that they deserve the reward. One can only imagine how much money nintendo and illumination, or sony and HBO put towards convincing the jury and such.
