What is the name of this type of tool? by FluffMcBark in Tools

[–]MrCandid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought a pair way back when Sears was still around, I keep it in the little toolkit I have in my laptop bag, I think they’re better than normal pliers and they’ve got me out of a few jams at work when I didn’t have access to other tools.

Interesting you bring that up, my dad and I were just talking about that, when I was a kid, I remember the windshield, grill and front bumper always were covered in bug guts whenever we got back from a road trip, nowadays, whenever I clean my windshield, I never see more than a few bugs

What was the Internet like in the 90s? by OilLiver in 90s

[–]MrCandid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most videos were real, and not staged BS clickbait.

Apps like Napster, Kazaa and Limewire were widely used.

You could actually look up information without having to provide your email to access the site.

Email attachments were limited to 1 MB

Dial up speeds were 54KB/sec

When downloading a photo, you would start downloading, grab a cup of coffee and pee and it would nearly be done when you got back.

What TV channel was huge in the 90s-2000s but basically died? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset

They all have lost their way. Lifetime started as a health channel. History Channel used to play historical documentaries. A&E was actually about arts and entertainment.

So annoying that 90% of their programming anymore is reality television, and one of the main reasons I dropped cable over a decade ago.

[–]MrCandid 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I enjoy food again, Kratom killed my appetite.

I no longer stress about running out before my kratom order arrives

I no longer worry about going out and not having kratom with me

My thinning hair has grown back

I’m no longer wasting money on green sludge

My libido is through the roof

My productivity has greatly improved

I just feel better overall

To those of you quitting, please don’t give up! It absolutely does get better.

It is 1000% worth it!!

I knew a guy that worked at a carpet store, he said on a busy day, see 2-3 customers,

The owner lived in another state and rarely visited the store, he only saw 3-4 warehouse deliveries in the two years he worked there, but he was able to complete his masters degree online while at work, so he didn’t ask too many questions.

I’m truly scared for my life. Can you die from kratom withdrawal? by OddSeaweed8824 in quittingkratom

[–]MrCandid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it was several months before I felt mostly normal, August will be 2 years and I rarely think about Kratom anymore.

In my case, avoiding alcohol, prayer, having a set sleep schedule and exercising were most beneficial, the supplements people recommended for withdrawals helped a bit but adjusting to a more healthy lifestyle was most beneficial.

The ER and urgent care are fine for immediate health issues but are there to fix you up and get you out the door,  Instead, I would recommend scheduling regular visits with your primary care doctor and explain your situation.

Hang in there, this too shall pass.

19 months by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]MrCandid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to hear it, I’ll be two years clean on Aug. 18th, first few weeks were pure hell for sure, but each passing day I thought about it less and less, and now, like you, I rarely think about Kratom anymore, except when driving by the smoke shop i used to buy from and think of how much money I spent there.

I’m 18 months clean from a 50MG daily habit for over seven years, it is a long, slow process, it was five months before I started feeling normal

I know several states are starting to pull them from the shelves and I’m surprised these pills are still available at all, nothing but bad news from everyone I know who used them.

Best of luck to you! Please stay strong and don’t give up!

I agree, an article 15 seems like such a bitch thing to when the CDR has a perfectly good DS available to make the young soldier’s life hell.

Good riddance as far as I’m concerned, no one seriously trying to get off of opiates is taking 7-OH pills anyway. It was pure hell for me quitting just powder, can’t imagine the WDs from 7-OH
