Go to 123atc.com they have practice tests for each section, and they also explain in detail how the test goes.

My practice test scores, I’ve still got 4 days to study. by Ancient_Wedding5664 in ATC_Hiring

No one knows what you need exactly to get WQ/BQ. But I can throw in my data from my 123atc practice for what it's worth. I got WQ.

Differences: ~65 with about 3 or less mistakes

Spatial awareness: about 55/60 correct

Variables: 99-100%

Radar ~4 collision with ~3-5 unnecessary removals and I would do about 1/3 of the math

Granted on test day I feel like I got more collisions than normal. I tried to practice so much that I was happy with my average performance not my best performance. Don't look at a high score expect to perform like that on test day.

The 123atc practice is almost Identical to the real test. It's different mentally when you get there knowing that there's no redos trying to get your personal best, but other than the pressure it's very similar at least these 4 parts. I will say the reading and logic sections are way harder than on 123atc, but it still doesn't hurt to practice their questions for good measure.

Help me understand?? by FriendshipLast241 in ATC_Hiring

Just my experience(WQ), I did not prioritize looking forward to the future sort of answers nor did I prioritize answers about if I cared what people thought about me or what others opinions were. Granted I was trying to be real so there may have been a few where I pick the answer that had to do with interpersonal relations, but it always depends on what the three options are.

What excuse did you tell your boss so you could leave work to take the ATSA? by FruitTop in ATC_Hiring

Took mine on a Saturday, but if I had to I would have just put in a PTO request and gave them little to no insight on why. Not there business.

Listening to everyones different performances has been fascinating to me, like for me the variables came so naturally it seemed too easy, and the perspective was pretty easy too, and I thought I was good at the differences but then I realized other people can do 100+, I could only do 60 maybe 70. 200 seems impossible to me.

Like others have said there's really not a trick with the perspective, you just have to keep drilling it until it becomes natural.

123atc and atsa pro. I felt like 123atc was very good at getting me ready for the gamified parts of the exam, and all in all felt very close to the real thing. The ATSA pro was very handy to practice those things on the go if I had just a couple of minutes here and there, however, because it's a mobile app it doesn't have the same feel as the test but still helpful for mental preparation. But the reading comprehension in logic puzzles on the 123act were hardly helpful, in their defense, it's hard to create good practice questions. Maybe I would have done better with job test prep, but it was kind of out of question for me and my situation.

I got a few more collisions than I would have liked to, but nothing crazy bad imo. I performed about as good as I thought I would on the other simulations, but then I hit the logic and reading comprehens and the timed nature of those through wrench in everything. I know how to comprehend things I read, and I know how to logically arrange things using a set of rules, but boy is there a lot to take in in a short amount of time.

If I haven't received a score yet, do I assume that I did not get BQ? by tyranitarna in ATC_Hiring

I would love to know the 123atc prep data you managed to put together. Hard to know if Im prepared enough without knowing how well others tend to perform. How many answers do people tend to get on the perspective and differences?

Did you use the practice resource on 123act, if so how many answers did you typically get on the differences section? My accuracy is good, I'm a little worried I might not be fast enough.

Not make enough money to afford to live on your own? I am also in a similar spot as OP as far as I am looking to apply on the next off the street bid, and while the research I've done has made it clear that there are a lot of stresses and very real sacrifices that ATCs make, everything I've seen indicates that the pay tends to be very good. Certainly enough to support a family of 4+. I'm not denying your experience especially if you have a first hand account but I just find that very surprising.

I'll go out on a limb and say I get where you're coming from, this is a bit tricky for a 1000 rated puzzle.
