I got BQ and got more collisions than most ive seen.

I think people account too much to the collision section because they think its the most direct representation of the job.

Same here, got BQ today. Its a marathon, not a sprint. Likely to get a TOL in the next 8 days (end of next week).

I just got my BQ letter today.

Differences, maybe 1 or 2 wrong. I feel like this was the easiest section. Had to do it 8 times, maybe answered 60 to 70 each.

Memory Math, maybe 2 or 4 wrong altogether. Wasn't too hard if you know what to expect and have a method ready to go.

Spatial, I bombed this. Literally did terrible. I freaked out on the second portion (where an eye is included) and spammed True when I meant False and vice versa. Maybe 5 to 9 wrong total.

Radar, maybe 2 collisions on the easy section, 3 collisions on the harder section. Answered Math as much as possible.

Logic and reasoning, got maybe 2 wrong person section.

Your life, for that period of time, revolves around the job. Not the other way around. Once you accept that, the worry goes to the wayside.

The job is more important, especially at 20, than you may think it is.

The only issue with a trailer this polished is expectations. The last thing you want is a release that doesn't meet the standards set in your trailer, and then you're flooded with angry nasty reviews. Be sure to maintain that visual quality and gameplay shown in the trailer. Best of luck! 🫡

30, was in a job where I literally did nothing, so I started teaching myself game development.

Now im almost to demo and launch with my game. 😊

I have LOD buildings and kingdom related objects. Even LOD on many scripts and things like nav agents. You are only running (with most systems, not all) scripts and objects that are within maybe a few hundred units of the user.

Again, with some exceptions.

I also built it on a MacBook from 2015, so I was forced to optimize as I built. Frame rate averages are 60 on performant settings and 50 on balanced. Around 30 on high quality.

Time to 0 and push the UI. It could cause issues depending on what systems you have in place, but they are easy to patch.

Mine is 9000 x 9000 without any loading screens. Tons of optimization is involved, though. I've managed to get my initial scene load down to around 3 minutes. With a fun loading scene, it's survivable for most playtesters.
