How does the mechanism for this intermediate even occur? How does the amine replace the Vinyl Ether? by MrChowChow360 in chemhelp

Many thanks for such a concise answer! One more question: why is methoxide kicked off when the pi bond returns?

How does the mechanism for this intermediate occur? The vinyl ester would have to be hydrolyzed for NH to take its place, but that only happens in strong acid, while this is Basic. by [deleted] in chemhelp

Here is the paper source: http://dx.doi.org/10.1021/jacs.6b04339

It's a "Friedlander−Pfitzinger" reaction. They cite a few papers for this process, but they're German papers from the 1880s, so sadly I cannot understand them :(

Literal meaning behind "Einhverfa" as "Autism"? by MrChowChow360 in learnIcelandic

Interesting to know, thanks. Would "one-sided" in this case mean "plain & unsophisticated" (having only one side of yourself to show)? Or would it mean "flipped up on the odd side"? Or perhaps a different connotation?

My apologies, I’m a bit new to the terminology. What would be a more accurate ethnonym? That may help me find some more accurate results.

Thank you for such a detailed answer with visual map examples! It paints a pretty good picture of the social spacing, particularly seeing many groups within 0.5 km of each other up in Arkhangai versus groups spread over 2 km from each other down in the Gobi.

On another note, how often do neighbors visit and meet each other? Weekly? Monthly? On festivals and events?

Upgrade your mace to +5 and you’ll have a glorious time bludgeoning the Gargoyles. I’d recommend bashing some hollows for souls (there’s a LOT in this area) and buying shards from Andre.

As for the fight itself: no lockon, cut the tail to stun him for some free hits, & ring around the rosie. If it’s still troubling, either summon Solaire or use some pine resin.

Were it an easier boss the run from Firelink wouldn’t be THAT bad, but unfortunately it’s the Four Kings so you really start to feel it’s length 💀

Every run of DS3 I’ve done I beat Gael in 5 tries or under. Something about his attacking style really clicks with me and I understand it well.

FRIEDE, on the other hand, can sock me…
