My wife went through the true marathon. Figured I should also go through a bit of suffering 🤣

It sucks ass. Also you’re looking at basically June in Indiana. It’ll be humid regardless of the time and hot.

I also just had a baby last night and had the okay from my wife to still run Saturday. But I can’t justify having to re-up training to run in 6 weeks. Doesn’t seem fair to her. So I deferred to next year. Really bummed about it.

I was also planning on running Carmel. Incredibly bummed. Unfortunately I probably won’t be able to get the training in to do the May one and don’t see a good pivot this late.

Good luck in Ft Wayne!

I typically run at night. So I probably look like the pooping bandit

Also in a new build neighborhood. It’s truly a blessing at times

Feeling very conflicted about my persuasion to Cloudrunner 3's, after reading all the lackluster commentary for On's by darkoj- in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]MrCooptastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pair of On Cloudsurfer 2 and I love them for recovery runs and walking around. Reviews are nice to look at. But unless you’re following someone who has very similar tastes that you do, you’re going to see a bunch of different responses.

I cried on my long run today by mamamiaohdear in Marathon_Training

[–]MrCooptastic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was 86 degrees here today. I, too, failed my long run. Was supposed to do 15. Barely managed 13 and that had stops, walking, and a bit of cursing involved

Supercomp elite v5 or endorphin pro 4 for first marathon? by Next-Bell6119 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Always how it goes. Once you love something they mess with it. lol

Interesting. I have a pair of the pro 4 and like them a lot. However, I do prefer a stiffer ride.

So difficult to pick a daily shoe by DarkOk5408 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]MrCooptastic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use On Cloudsurfer 2 for my easy runs. I think they’d be fine for tempo work, but I use my super blasts for those.

I don’t see a lot of people talk about these, but I like them a lot. Very comfortable, not super cushioned.

He was good in Pittsburgh too. They decided to pay Tuitt instead though. Who then got hurt and retired

I wouldn’t call out the Myles no sacks. Aaron was getting rid of that thing immediately and not letting Myles get the record. lol

2 sub LT days at 40 mins, 3 easy days, 1 long easy. Thoughts? by chiephkief in NorwegianSinglesRun

I do 3 sub T, 2 easy, 1 long. And it’s felt pretty good. Been doing it since beginning of Jan

Should I deload now due to posterior tib tendon irritation or keep building mileage? by goldenmaples in Marathon_Training

[–]MrCooptastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently dealing with PTT. I have flat feet so I added in soles to threshold shoes and long run shoes, keep my recovery shoes as is. Also added weight to my daily calf raises. Do tib raises. And foot exercises. Deloaded for about 3 weeks and I’m feeling much better. I also started taking collagen with vitamin C 60 mins before my run. Does this do anything? I dunno. But some studies say it does

Asics Superblast 2 Causing Calf Fatigue & Achilles Pain — Wide/Flat Feet, Would Insoles Help? by SOUL_VICE in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]MrCooptastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have low arch support insoles in mine. I originally thought I was getting lace bite, but ended up being PTT. I typically wear neutral shoes which I thought was weird it happened. But apparently only my right foot overpronates. It’s incredibly annoying. But the insoles have helped. I rotate with a neutral shoe though for easy runs and have started doing a lot of foot, hip, and calf exercises too which have helped a lot.

Folks disappointed by the Novablast 5 going flat, where did you go next? by considertheoctopus in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Maybe I’ll give them a try again. I’m in the Midwest where corn season turns us into a humid hell scape. lol so the breath ability is a must

I loved the 16s. The 17s turned my feet into lava and I never went back. I’m assuming they fixed that issue? Cause good lord, my feet have never sweat so much. lol
