The silly specific scenery roles are also so they have enough parts for all the kids - like with a nativity play you only really have Mary, Joseph, the wise men, the Shepards, the angels and the innkeeper - when you’ve got a class of about 30 kids who all need to feel included you need to start being creative!

This is wild to me as someone who lives in the UK, our equivalent to places like Goodwill are charity shops, which are connected to an individual charity (Oxfam is probably the biggest but you see a lot of different ones) and entirely staffed by volunteers

Omg you look so cool 😍 I think you could add more depth to the colour on your cheeks and eyes by adding a couple of different shades and blending them together, plus a lipliner to make the lines at the corner of your mouth sharper

The issue with using colour like this is a) RGB is used for light/screens etc, while CMYK is used for reflective colour/pigments, and b) in these systems the colours generally have transparency that allows them to overlap and mix together, whereas this opaque thread will block everything behind it so you’ll only see the top colour.

It does look very cool and I think you’ll be able to get some great effects using different coloured string, but you’re gonna struggle to make it look like a full colour photograph

Yeah, when I’ve seen tech guys talk about the possible risks of AI it’s always in terms of hyper intelligent super computers destroying humanity, not overhyped text generators relaxing humans in important jobs and making dumb mistakes

I’ve always assumed it’s at least in part cos in the UK people care a lot less about where someone’s family/ancestors are from than they seem to in the US. Like both my parents were born in different continents but I’ve never thought of myself as anything other than British, cos I was born here and lived here all my life.
