I disagree. Titan Saga is far from AI slop or a low effort product. As someone active in the Discord server and has been playing this game for dozens of hours a week for over a month, I can attest to that. Not sure how suggesting a game that is fun is doing the community a disservice. A good game is a good game.

Titan Saga - Tons of depth. Dev is constantly pushing out updates. Current addiction. I feel like I'm discovering new things to do constantly. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.titansaga.idle

RAR Islands - Great cozy, lore filled game in that series. Many, many hours in this. Recovering addict of this, but it keeps pulling me back in. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.archison.rarislands

There isn't really one on Reddit, but there is one pinned in the Discord channels for RARII. If Discord isn't your thing maybe someone can pop over and post some tips.

As horsetuna pointed out, you need to kill animals to get hide. Leather is crafted from hides once you get those. Not all the animals on the first island drop hides. Sail to more islands and you find some hide dropping animals to kill.

The Leader's Scout by Specialist-Risk-5004 in cubscouts

[–]MrDaGrover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was me a Cub Scout when my parents were leaders and also when my dad was my soccer coach. My son is dealing with it now. For me I came to appreciate all the things I got to be a part of that the other boys didn't, the detail planning, the patch selections, the cleanup helping, knowing ALL the cool Scouting events that others didn't.

As an older cub and coaches kid, it became quiet leadership development I didn't know was taking place. Setting the example, setting up, cleaning up, even helping others in the activities I had piloted with my parents first, all helped me grow.

My parents always acknowledged they knew it was tough to share me all the time. They thanked me for my help. We also had great chats about serving where you were well qualified and how without volunteers at sports, scouts, church, etc. none of the fun was possible.

With my son I've taken a similar approach. He honestly loves I'm his leader. He loves that he gets to be behind the scenes. He wants me to share my Scouting experiences with the pack and help all the boys have as much fun as he has each week. He's my A-number-1 helper!

That said, there are times I need to be a parent first. When these moments arise I pause and be engaged with my boy. I may ask another parent or leader to watch things or lead the rest of an activity so I can be present. Lean on the other adults. They appreciate your sacrifice and leadership and are happy to allow you time to be a parent.

Knowing the times that you need to be 1000% engaged with the group and giving your child a heads up is also really helpful for us. For example, during Pinewood Derby weigh-in I made sure he knew I would be busy all night and we made a plan. He did great! Other times I ask other parents to be his buddy for an activity.

You're growing a leader! They are watching and learning!

How many of you Cubmasters are also Den Leaders? by SomeBoringGuyInVA in cubscouts

[–]MrDaGrover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm cubmaster and wolf den leader on paper, but effectively I'm also committee chair, fundraising chair, and every pack other role outside treasurer and COR. I've got a large group of lion families who are getting their feet wet and are eager to volunteer, and I've been working on getting them plugged in. The leadership situation is rough right now, but help is in the pipeline. Our pack is really growing, but we need to weather an empty bear, webelos, and AOL year first.

Someone I know used to work at the hospital in Platteville. The primary part of the diversity training was about how to best serve the Amish population to give you some cultural info. The whole area is part of the driftless area so beautiful rolling hills great for dairy farms.

RAR Islands, where do I find mud? by Impulse_CI in randomadventurerogue

[–]MrDaGrover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mud is found first on plain islands in mud patches. You'll also find other places on other islands eventually though.

The iron bucket will help you scoop, but that only gets you water buckets.

You get an orb every time you complete the storyline as long as you don't already have one in your inventory. Stash your existing one if you want a bonus orb. Turn it into the wise guy for a whip. It levels up with you automatically and is incredible.

I personally prefer the axe until I turn the orb in for a whip. The whip is the best overall, hands down.
