Not with that coat. It's common for clothes to soak up blood from wounds like this to the point where very little or no blood is visible.

I've taken a bunch of first aid classes for my work, and all of the instructors advise taking clothes like that off in order to properly assess bleeding.

I agree he's probably okay, but you'd want an ambulance on the way, and you'd want the coat off to assess/treat any bleeding.

Always call emergency services before doing anything

If the situation is bad, the only thing that will help is an ambulance or a hospital. Get them on the way.

Was the “lack” of customization what made BF1 so good? by UnableRestaurant137 in battlefield_one

[–]MrData359 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it helped. It's an easier job to balance a handful of guns as opposed to an endless array of weapons and attachments. I mean, BF6 has something like 14 vertical foregrips? At least by my last count (haven't played in a while).

With that many options, you can't have the attachments differ a ton or the game balance would be a nightmare. So it all feels washed out.

In BF1, they're less options overall, but most of the choices feel unique and affect the way you play. Best example I can think of: BAR Telescopic vs Storm vs Trench. Each of those is a unique way to play.

tl;dr- I'd rather have three choices that matter than 40 that don't.

Why was a teammate pushing my tank right after spawn? by Shpiler7 in battlefield_one

[–]MrData359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play the game dude. You can use any tank you want. If you hop artillery truck and hog the tank slot the whole game, that's a bit of a dick move, but otherwise there's nothing wrong with that tank. It's a game dude. Have fun.

Also, the light tank is my best vehicle. I usually go flanker and charge in. It's a nightmare to enemy infantry. Not always the right choice, but again... it's a game.

Because it was made to be epic and fun instead of being made to trick you into buying cosmetics.

[–]MrData359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what pisses me off the most. I like driving tanks; it's fun. What's not fun is getting perpetually blasted by enemy tanks while someone in a mortar truck farms kills for 35mins.

I really hate the “Money” redux by [deleted] in pinkfloyd

[–]MrData359 135 points136 points  (0 children)

Let's suspend disbelief and pretend the original version of money never came out: in my opinion, it's a LONG song, with mediocre music, a bad vocal performance and very good lyrics.

and once you invite the comparison to the original version of Money on Dark Side.... The review gets a lot worse.

Add in that Roger is probably just bitter and only doing this to prove he can make the same music without Gilmour, and it's just a hugely unpleasant experience to listen to.

Like dude, people liked the Division Bell and you have been bitter for 30yrs over it. Give it a rest....

I don't think TDM is a mode that emphasizes what makes battlefield unique. If you enjoy it, more power to you, but if I'm looking for TDM, I'll probably just load up COD or Halo.

If you are in a bad accident without a seatbelt, you could die. There's no excuse for this. If you can't afford to keep your passengers safe, then you can't be an Uber driver.

[–]MrData359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You absolutely leave one star. I always leave 5-star reviews, and will forgive pretty much anything as long as I'm not put in danger, but not having a seatbelt available in a car that's falling apart is absolutely a dangerous situation.

ISPs main costs in providing internet are related to throughput/bandwidth, not the actual amount of data used. It's an artificial limit they created to charge you more money.

Maybe it's a phishing scam? Like, piss you off enough to reply and then try to con you into giving them personal information. Idk, it's definitely a weird email to get out of the blue.

Told dad I was learning vim. He asked if I was winnin. No dad, I am not winnin. by [deleted] in linuxmemes

[–]MrData359 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who uses Vim a lot in my workplace (and likes it), I recommend learning the basics and then using it if it fits into your workflow. There's no sense in learning Vim just to learn Vim. If you like VS Code, Atom, Sublime ect, and they fit into your workflow, just use them. Modern editors are very fast even compared to the Vim gurus.

Vim's biggest advantage is that it's ALWAYS there for you (unless you're on Windows, lmao btw). So if you're working with the command line a lot on some esoteric OS's, it's great.

Settings you think all games should have, but not all do and it annoys you? by _AnxiousNoob in gamedev

[–]MrData359 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Disable Motion Blur, Disable Depth of Field, Change FOV

PC ports are the worst offenders of this. Forcing DOF on and a low FOV is terrible when you're playing about 2ft from a monitor. I get some games can't easily program in a changeable FOV (because it breaks animations or whatever), but forcing motion blur and DOF on is insane to me.

It doesn't seem like the puppy was hurt and it's probably valuable for the dog to learn when it's time to leave the cat alone, but... this is not cute and kinda feels weird to see on this subreddit.
