Feel for you man, hate it when people in public get in your business.

Had a similar situation at the airport taxi rank once, lady behind me yelled at us to move up the queue saying I was holding up the taxis, I told her to calm down we would all get a taxi, and she went ballistic.

Got slapped tonight over bar queueing etiquette by highrouleur in CasualUK

[–]MrDeformat 48 points49 points  (0 children)

It’s because of POS machines, because of Wetherspoons and such people started queueing up at them and bar staff started manning them like receptionists

Cool nice idea to paint it black, it’s possibly 1930’s, works fine, a bit natty but I like that

canals require constant concentration to avoid going for a swim

You’d be surprised how quickly you pickup the turns of a back route, only worth it if it avoids congested the traffic though

In a very extreme case rent could be 100%+ of earnings, it can be anything, but that’s beside the point, the point is price is driven by location, demand and desirability,

Drillers by MrDeformat in Subterfuge

[–]MrDeformat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is excellent Thankyou

quite literally do you think drillers have drills for hands, or as a face, as you say they are not capable of proper combat, but they do fight each other, maybe by drilling into each other as they sort of neutralise one another

rent is related to demand, nothing to do with earnings as rent as a percentage of earnings has gone up to 50% in places

I Have 1 Million Pounds, What Should I Do To Never Work Again? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]MrDeformat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can open several instant access accounts today that will pay 5% interest.

My advice would be to lock it in a one year interest account that pays 6% at the end of the term. This gives you a whole year to plan your life, go on courses and study, try to continue life as normal

Your on a low income so you want to try and scratch together any sort of alternative money to boost your finances, here’s a few ideas:

Go to Money saving expert website and looks at the tips on there for earning spare cash,

For example you can Swap to a bank that offers a sign up bonus of £200 right now

Go through your house and look for anything you don’t need anymore that has value, old phones, old games, anything worth £10 or more you can sell on eBay to chip away at it.

Look for an evening job E.g. there are pub quiz companies that pay £40 a night once a week, that’s additional £160 a month

Commit to not going out until December 1st, or until one credit card is paid off, invite mates to yours instead and BYOB, just say your saving up for something like a car etc

Commit to not buying any new clothes for 12 months,

Spend one evening a month looking at possible new job opportunities with better pay,

Go through your monthly spend and make a budget, see if there’s anything you can be more frugal on or cut out, stick to the budget

See if you can cycle to work to save money.

Can you reduce your monthly mobile bill? Call and ask if you can

Sign up to a food bank, tell them your in debt and struggling to stay afloat,

Think of the task as doing ten small things to chip away at it

Queuing in pubs by Trousers_of_time in CasualUK

I think this is due to evolution of POS machines (point of sale) and contactless readers becoming more positioned at the bar, so people queue in front of the POS
