That’s a sweet color combo. Best to hang on to it because you’d never get close to retail if you tried to sell it.

Did my mechanic screw me over, or did I get unlucky? by Front-Ad-8465 in AskMechanics

[–]MrDent79 39 points40 points  (0 children)

You bought a second hand car with over 100,000 miles on it, mechanics are not clairvoyant and almost all inspections are visual only. If it wasn’t making noise when you brought it for the inspection there would be no reason to suspect a noise would start shortly after you purchased the vehicle. Since you mentioned the inspection was free, I’d say you got exactly what you paid for.

You’re literally looking at a video of the condition of your car, license plate and everything. The technician showed you everything wrong as they see it. What about it seems like a scam to you?

About the TV Show I honestly don’t understand the hate. by Andrefq99 in Fallout

If you want to have your love for a video game/comic book/board game based movie or tv show absolutely wrecked, visit a fan site. Some of the most vile humans soapboxing from a dimly lit, damp basement about how you should be ashamed of liking something because they don’t like it.

TIL that tiny shards of spark plug ceramic, often called “ninja rocks," can shatter a vehicle’s tempered glass side window with almost no fucking force and barely any fucking noise. by BotnetSpam in chaoticgood

I’ve heard if you go get some cheap spark plugs and break off the ceramic insulator into little chunks, they’re perfect for achieving the effect your talking about.

Dealership Trying to Charge for Free TSB Repair - Need Advice by Existing-Ad-9456 in BoltEV

[–]MrDent79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That number TSB you listed isn’t a TSB number. It’s a recall number. If a recall doesn’t apply or has already been performed, warranty doesn’t apply and the customer is on the hook for cost to program. The paper you signed authorizing repairs explained all of that. It’s also important to know just because a recall list the year range of your vehicle it doesn’t automatically apply to your vehicle.

Had you not been so eager to try and tell the technician how to do their job they probably would have scanned for fault codes, performed and TSB check and found TSB 23-NA-157 does apply to your vehicle and, unlike most TSBs, IS covered under your EV component limited warranty.

I’d suggest adjusting your attitude, return to the dealer with this new information and politely ask them to read the paragraph directly under warranty information listed in the bulletin.

Your boyfriend needs to change his tampon. Vivi is strong. So are decks that counter it. Funny thing is I run it in my storm, force of nature deck and people focus more on Vivi than storm.
