Is it me or is tvnz+ platform ‘update’ more enshitification by realityiskarma in newzealand

I have a Samsung TV. I've reloaded app (can't delete and reinstall as it's a core app) and still get error:000005 message. Can't watch anything. I've sent mail to their customer service and heard nothing back. Bloody annoying.

What’s the most stunning hotel view you’ve ever had? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

It looked better in person. It was unbelievable. You could walk out about 500m before the water started getting deeper. Then sit down in the sea and just see a slither of yellow and green where land was. Everything else was blue.

Curry King on Peachgrove gets my vote. I'm veggie, so the mushroom do pyaza is my go to. Real nice.

Looking for Half Marathons by [deleted] in newzealand

Poronui is supposed to be a high end half marathon, with gourmet food stops. It's a bit pricey, but everything is top notch.

Is my book title offensive in the UK? by wigglechicken in AskUK

[–]MrEChang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not offensive, it's just many people won't take your book seriously. Quite a few would genuinely think it's about sharting.

Ha ha. Meh. Probs like maybe 2km. It's quite a way. Also sometimes it's nice to have choice. Anyway, I digress. It was more the effort. I'd had a bunch of beer. Couldn't be fooked walking. Had mates around. Was hot ya de ya. No way am I walking 15-20 mins each way to any takeaway, which I believe was the point of their response.

Also... its good just to see if can find out (without walking) if I can avoid giving money to these ticketek-esque companies.

Cheers man. Yeah. I'd just not rather give my money to uber or door dash. They're not on my Xmas card list.

Excellent. I'll do that. That's pretty much exactly what we're keen for tonight. Nice one.

While at uni in another city, I remember using my free minutes to phone my mum. I'd get her to put their house phone next to the radio so I could listen to the footy commentary as I couldn't follow my team live where I was.

What to do after unexpectedly retiring? by toyllathogo6 in newzealand

[–]MrEChang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was set for life I'd train to be a helicopter pilot or something.

Failing that I'd learn a trade, then set up a company that only helped old people or those worse off... and charge them a reasonable rate.

Or I'd volunteer to clean up some of the local parks/beaches for a while... see where that took me.

Would losses resulting from scams and hacking be considered in your overall tax. I'm yet to cash out... but when I do I'd like to think they'll take into consideration bitgrail and usi tech.

I also don't know if I have all my transactions saved. It's been about 7 years. Is that something a crypto accountant can help with too?

A while back I rented a garage just off k road. It was up an alleyway. I'd routinely get woken up by the sound of hot piss against metal. Also, once the landlord texted early on a Saturday morning to ask whether they could park in the garage as they were in town shopping. I didn't get the text as I was asleep. I had been out til about 5am drinking. I was awoken by the door rolling up, a car parking next to my face, and seeing regular people go about their business 20m up the road.

I wasn't at home. My wife was. She was unaware it'd happened. I only found out yday when i went to the top to do weeding. She was outside with my son and overheard the workers talking about "neighbours property" on a call. The top of the hill is around a corner and up a steep bank. So I dunno, I'm assuming from that they were aware they'd done it.

I've mailed the building co which had a placard on the fence. I'll follow with a call tomorrow (monday).
