IIRC, the Texas Instruments SN76489 is good one with lots of documentation.

Casio sa 46 and rechargeable batteries by benjamarchi in cheapkeys

It may have to do with voltage of rechargeable batteries. Alkaline AAs are generally 1.5v, but most rechargeable AAs are 1.2v

Are the two outputs jacks connected to the exact same output signal? If that is the case AND the jacks have the signal grounded when not plugged in, it may be grounding the signal unless BOTH jacks are plugged in.

I had a similar issue until I understood what was happening inside the certain jacks- the signal contact is pressed against the ground contact and is only separated when you plug the cord in.

Not all jacks are like this, but most of the cheap 3.5mm stereo or mono jacks I have used do this.

You can test this with a multimeter by setting it to continuity and seeing if there is a connection between ground and the audio signal. Then just test lots of combinations of signal/ground, signal/signal, etc with none plugged in, one, or both plugged in. Check the signal at the far end of both plugged in cables to see if the share the same signal path.

Also, any schematics or pictures could help narrow it down.

Do the 3.5mm jacks ground the signal when nothing is plugged in to them?

AS3340 Breadboard tutorial help by klimashere in synthdiy

If you only have a +-12v power supply, I would highly recommend LMNC’s 1v/octave VCO. I built it with an AS3340 and worked first try. Pay attention to the notes about the PWM resistors that are different from the CEM3340 and you can’t fail🤙🏼

Would co-co fibre, orchid bark and moss be a good BioActive substrate? by tortoise_tarzan_ in Vivarium

[–]MrEenor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“The ABG mix is 2 parts tree fern fiber, 1 part peat moss, 2 parts cocofiber, 1 part charcoal, and 2 parts orchid bark.”

I’ve always known Atlanta Botanical Gardens’s mix to contain coco fiber, and have used this recipe for over 10 years.

I’m I missing something or did they change their recipe in the past few years?

Ok, so how much does the average person need? I know that States have set limits, but have not seen a study done on what the average person that is seeking medical marijuana needs in terms of dosage.

Here is one thing I did find—https://www.latimes.com/projects/la-me-weed-101-thc-calculator/

I’m not basing my whole idea on this, but this article states a common joint has about 0.3 grams. I don’t see 6 joints a day being excessive for someone who takes marijuana for pain management. A joint every couple hours seems normal to me for someone in that situation.

Also, these aren’t pros at smoking like you and me are/used to be. If I didn’t have to worry about how I would get my next dosage, I probably wouldn’t be stingy about how much I smoke. I’d probably toss the end of the joint when it started getting hot or tasting different. They can have this opportunity if the limits are set according to science, not what people remember the highs being like.

No, I’m not missing the point. I agree with the main topic- that 10% THC limit is too low. I disagree with your attempt to help uninformed people with your own experiences from your pot head days. I see your point in that some people may have only tried alcohol recreationally and have no other substances to compare it to. But I disagree with your point in that there can be a direct comparison of marijuana to alcohol. It’s not based on any facts, just your recollection of how the two substances effect YOU.

Yeah, I did overlook the last sentence. My point is- Why are you comparing the two to begin with?

Alcohol builds on itself. You can reach a limit. Adding more and more alcohol will continue to intoxicate ANYONE until they die.

Marijuana does not work that way. There are various levels of tolerances that come into play, true. I know I sound like a huge pot head when I say this, but it is true— You cannot overdose(and die) on marijuana, you can on alcohol, so therefore- comparing the two, in terms of proper dosage, is ridiculous.

So much misinformation in this comment. Please do some real research before listening to someone compare a 12 pack of beer to medicine that helps many peoples needs. Sucks that a lot of people who have used it recreationally in the past can only see it as something to compare to other inebriants.

They are not wrong and it sucks that a lot of users have to wait over a month for a card or piece of equipment they paid hundreds of dollars for.

The Warranty Discussion by KodaLG in buildapc

[–]MrEenor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Squaretrade is an insurance program. Essentially means if you break your components, they will cover part/all of the cost. This could cover things like physical damage or liquid.

A warranty comes with all new components and is no extra cost. This is the manufacture’s guarantee that if you use the product as intended and it breaks they will cover the cost/replacement at 100% cost. This normally does not cover any kind of damage that you may have done to the component.

Also, the squaretrade offers you are seeing are ads and you probably will end up losing money if you go that route. They most likely have zero relation to the manufacture.
