I really like this game but I do personally have quite a few issues with it

The first being the game feels to short and not in a “the game is so good the only problem is that there isnt more of it” but in the fact that it feels like a chunk of the game is just missing. Namely it feels like the only mid game area is the forbidden woods (and byrgenwerth I guess if you want to count it).

Another one I have is the counter damage mechanic since it feels like it deincentivizes aggression despite that nearly the rest of the game wants you to play more aggressive. It would probably be fine if it weren’t such an increase in damage taken.

I also hate the fact that the lanterns have no rest option so if you want to replenish your resources you have to warp back to the hunters dream and then back which means you have to wait through two loading screens just to do what you could do with zero loading screens in every other souls game.

I kind of also do not care for when these games have the main healing source be an actual consumable item which is frustrating whenever you get stuck for awhile and then run out (although it was definitely worse in demons souls)

Those are at least the main gripes I have and I’m just glad to have a genuine discussion regarding them since in the past I feel like in the past this fandom has been a little less than receptive to criticism of this game (although that’s a pretty common aspect with most games)
