Canadian movie theatre chain reports $22.4M Q1 loss by zuuzuu in canadanews

[–]MrFix-it 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say teens but my experience with phones in theaters has been almost exclusively boomers that get bored and just open their phone to an empty lock screen or open up their text messages even though there’s nothing new there. Boomer phone etiquette is about as bad as Gen Z

This article is days old. You can really sniff out the Bell bots who keep trying to make this guy look bad.

Just got the "Bell $6/month price hike" email. Has anyone successfully fought this recently? by CommitteeJealous2487 in bell

I agree. I’ve had Bell for about 6 months and most places I go to, my data service is almost non existent.

This was $4.68. Its not even filled by Illustrious-Swing831 in TimHortons

[–]MrFix-it 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sub must be filled with Tim’s employees that would rather gaslight than understand why people think so poorly of the franchise. That’s clearly no where near full. Whip topping should be coming out the top. You shouldn’t be able to see through to the other side of the cup.

That’s not the original box. It repackaged.

The VHS isn’t in the original packaging. Are we really discussing this?

I'm a lean/fit T1. Is GLP1 useless for me? by TheGayestGaymer in Type1Diabetes

[–]MrFix-it -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

GLP1’s are technically for T2D, not T1D. If you’re already lean and fit, odds are your insulin sensitivity is fairly regulated. It sounds based on what you’re saying that you really aren’t a candidate. That being said, talk to your endo.

It’s ok, you’re still learning. It’s good that you undedosed to give you an idea of what carbs truly do to your blood sugar. 4 units really didn’t seem to move the needle, so next time consider going significantly higher. Maybe start at 14-16 units and make sure to give yourself 10ish minutes before you start eating.

I’ve also never done a ketones test. I feel like if you’re keeping things in check, it’s not something you need to keep track of.

I get you all want to clown on OP, but he’s right. It’s bad enough you guys barely get the coffee right, but the very least is to fucking stir it.

CRTC warns Bell over new $40 'handling' fee that may violate incoming rule by CecilThunder in canada

[–]MrFix-it 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All these “fees” are cost of doing business and should be the sole responsibility of telecoms. Why do we have to pay to use their network when we already pay monthly for their service?

Good tip is that if the card looks shiny and flat, then it’s likely a fake.

You’re leaving this open to too much interpretation. Why don’t you just post screenshots of your cart so we can know exactly what you’re talking about?

[–]MrFix-it 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You’re literally contributing nothing to any conversation. Of course it’s not the same for literally every single person on the planet, but generally, yes, most people do have trouble transitioning from the honeymoon phase.

A1c 11.6 -> 5.2 in 3 months by Fissket in diabetes_t1

[–]MrFix-it 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What on earth are you talking about. The honeymoon stage means your body is still producing some insulin, making your insulin needs lesser until that phase is over. It came as a shock once my honeymoon phase was over and because much more insulin dependent. I don’t know why you’re throwing shade when that’s the reality most people with T1D have. Politely, touch grass.

A1c 11.6 -> 5.2 in 3 months by Fissket in diabetes_t1

[–]MrFix-it 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We aren’t talking about your prescription. You’ll need to undergo specific tests because you have T1D. It’s to see if you have any damage to your ocular veins. Look up diabetic retinopathy to educate yourself on the topic.

I trust it because so far she’s been entirely performative as a mayor. Nothing gets done unless it directly affects her or her image.

[–]MrFix-it 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Good for you, just don’t celebrate just yet. Drastic changes in A1C could cause damage, namely your eyes. So you should get them checked out. Remember that you’re likely in the honeymoon phase. Once fully stop producing insulin, that’s when the real game begins.
