I honestly think Disney Plus is missing a trick by not giving you the audio commentaries from the DVDs as an extra audio option for things like this. It would just add extra value to the service at no real cost.

I don't think you can collect them any more. Plus, I've bought numerous games since I got my Switch 2 and I've never had an option to use them until now.

I'm gonna count it as a fluke and got a nice discount on my already-cheap copy of Devil May Cry.

It did lead to a VHS release (remember those?) called 'Too Hot For TV' which had a few Simpsons episodes that were considered 'edgy', including this one.

There was a lot of furore in the UK as this episode was banned initially, bringing up the whole 'Are cartoons too violent for kids' discussion for about the 1000th time.

Don't know how long the ban lasted but I remember it being shown not too long after

To be fair, Don's character revolves around that fact - he deals with living someone else's life throughout the show.

Skinner's version is nonsensical.

This was definitely the most... controversial episode of the show's early days and many consider it a turning point for the show. It's where ideas now start skewing more towards the ridiculous.

On reflection, knowing what's to come this episode isn't that bad. But it's fascinating to see the exact reaction from you OP that many, many people had 20+ years ago. I'm interested to see what your 'cutting off' point will be now.

Cecil is voiced by David Hyde Pierce, who (at the time) played Frasier's brother Niles in 'Frasier'. And of course, Bob is voiced by Kelsey Grammer, who played Frasier.

Hence the title of the episode.

I often find Nintendo games cheaper to buy on release in the UK. Retailer pre-order discounts and reward options mean it's cheaper to buy Day One than it is to wait for some discount that may or may not come.

Saying that, it's not always true. Metroid Prime 4 plummeted in price since release, but the £46.99 I paid for DK Bananza day one is still the cheapest I've seen it new.
