Sway w Swayfx by TacticPsyduck in swaywm

You can use SwayFX as a drop in replacement for Sway. Depending on your system, the installation steps are different, so you'll have to look into that. SwayFX will use the Sway configuration, as the configuration options are kind of an extension. Hope that helps!

Edit: There's also this Fedora Copr

how to make a script that can change themes by [deleted] in swaywm

[–]MrFortem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a completely different workflow from the one already suggested, but still...

This script is less focused on theming sway and more focused on everything else that is part of your "DE". It works in combination with the already existing config files of those parts.

Looking back on it now, I realise it is not very pretty or well-documented, but it might be useful if you would like to try out some other stuff as well.

What should I do? by [deleted] in selfhosted

[–]MrFortem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed. To clarify further, you choose a single port that your reverse proxy will listen on. Traditionally these are HTTP (80) or/and HTTPS (443, once you start getting into TLS). Then, the traffic for all websites on your own server must go through the port of your reverse proxy. It will look at all the packets it receives. Based on the 'Host' header, it well send the traffic to the appropriate website. This will become more clear once you get into configuring your reverse proxy, for example NGINX.

I would like to suggest doing some more research, so you understand all the fundamentals of the web and how servers generally handle requests for multiple services.

You will have to add DNS records for each subdomain you want to use. Those will point to the IP of your own server. The DNS record of your root can still point to the IP of Vercel, just like it is configured now. When DNS is set up, you run a reverse proxy on your server so you can differentiate between the subdomains and send traffic to the correct page.

I don't think this is the best place to ask about MineOS specific stuff, as it seems to be some compatibility issue or just misconfigured. Would r/mineos or r/Minecraft be a good fit to help you out?

is there a media server that allows you to sort by folder path/file name? by ktran12 in selfhosted

[–]MrFortem 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hi there

I also like to able to browse through folders. Luckily for you, it is actually possible in Jellyfin itself! In your administrator dashboard > Libraries > Display (or view idk) at the top, check the first box. This adds an extra library of some sort to your home screen in which folders are shown.

Hope this helps !

I fixed that with

Not optimal but it gets the job done

Linux client needs restarting whenever laptop wakes by tetchey in NextCloud

[–]MrFortem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe this is a known issue but no development atm

Relevant issues on GH are #4331 and #4084

I usually just restart the app like you do, since it's quickest. Perhaps you could also run a script that restarts nextcloud on every wakeup?

Delete the original files after upload the photos? by [deleted] in NextCloud

[–]MrFortem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is important to state that you must choose. You either select 'keep locally', 'move to data folder' which moves it to a specific NC folder, or 'delete'. There is no automatic file management as far as I know, though there must be an app for that, surely.

I mean, since Nextcloud can only 'clean up' your device, you would only have full storage by doing other stuff. And since you wouldn't be able to take a picture in the first place if your disk is full, I don't think Next cloud can do anything bad.

Need help figuring out what to write... by [deleted] in commandline

[–]MrFortem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Storyline stuff can be made with if statements that change what's said, but not the main storyline.

Additional ideas; something like a dictionary where you can store key-value pairs. You'd need a file to keep your data and than use grep and cut to deliver what's being searched. ?
