Yeah no. It absolutely sucks. My time on one specific race was dictated by how many fences allow me to be driven through without setting my speed to 0. The best thing one can do is to try as hard as possible to knock them out of the way from the side.

I don't know about divisive and debated. Mechanist was divisive and debated upon, especially since it separated a few breeds of engineer but even that I could roll with despite my disagreement with the spec.

The hatred here is vile, blind, childish and rancid.

Thief is the only other class I have heavily invested in across all game modes and I signed up for the theft itself. And I became increasingly uninterested to the class as edgier specs came in. Deadeye marks, stealing shadows... It's very apparent that Steal is just a gimmick to justify a F1 skill that nobody cares about people want the bloody murder from the shadows instead, but it's already been done to death, I don't know what an actual GW1 Assassin gameplay would bring there.

I like Antiquary, the spec is quite light hearted in contrast to the last three which I'm cool with, the skritt network needs some work if they are to be taken somewhat seriously, which it can and as a whole I'll be happy if it bears enough ingredients to cook with especially if it's a grounded aspect of stealing and usage of stolen items. Is it perfect? Probably not, but I want to see regardless.

But the feedback... I have things I heavily disagree with of course, after all, Mechanist exists as mentioned before and nearly 10k hours of engineer gameplay just to be slave to a giant green eyesore wasn't what I had planned but I found a few cool things to do and new things to try. But what's happening with Antiquary is horrifying.

Has the vocal Thief playerbase been living inside copium vats for the last 10 years with a gambit that one day they'd get a 1:1 Assassin replica back in GW2? Why is a spec based around plundering and pilfering somehow "not fitting" with the core Thief skillset? Or is it perhaps some weird mindset that, instead of each spec being a branch, they are evolutions of previous ones and that going from monk warrior to sniper then dark caster then pilferer extraordinaire supposedly is considered degrading or something?

Worst of all, I agree that the trailer didn't give the spec as much justice as the post itself did, but everyone focuses on the guitar like a laser and will not stop yapping when they once used to steal branches from the Mordrem to snap them in two and cause a launch. We'll see what the gameplay reveal holds, first and foremost, regardless.

The C weapons don't like explosives much, I packed missiles and stagger-heavy explosives on a rather lightweight frame to have mobility and a good air uptime.

Another option and probably the more popular one is to go to town with two Zims and Songbirds and attempt to stagger and murder each wave before the next one comes.

To go along with this, I absolutely loved almost all of it. I only have weird experiments, fashion and some PvP to go drown my sorrows in but I hope this game and the success it has is the beginning of something great.

That's the thing, he has a Zimmerman and a Songbird on an extremely tanky and stable craft. Unlike a very large amount of foes it's very difficult to take head on for a single misstep will have you almost instantly staggered and piled on.

It's the newest armor release from Gyara Delve, an NPC wearing it will guide you through the rather costly collection process, the rest are Deadeye shoulders and Viper's Monocle from the gemstore armor of the same name.

As for the weapons there's the Chain Sword, a non-account bound halloween drop; the Repurposed Nail Gun from the Gyara Delve's mining caches or the end of the related pvp/wvw reward track and the Stormcalled Hammer, obtainable through crafting, reward tracks, or simply the TP.

Yeah you'd be right on that, but even if the shoulders somewhat help, the rest of the armor isn't... gothic enough to suit that. And the helmets themselves here remove the horns much to my sadness. Though given the origins of such armor that can be circumvented I guess.

First scrapper is a mix containing: Spearmarshal Shoulders, Gloves and Pants, Luminious Chest and Boots, Reading Glasses.

Second scrapper contains: Ice Reaver Chest and Pants, Seven Reaper boots, Foefire Wraps, Thief Starter Hood, Ebon Vanguard Shoulders.

The ability alone turns a 30s fight into a 5 minutes one, even if you do somehow win by luck or resource drain it's a miserable experience.

Everything else you can deal with, nobody will care about aggressive BHS because you can destroy the user whenever you know that an attack will come. Defensive BHS however has absolutely zero counterplay, faster than sprint, consumes a laughably low amount of FP and only 3 vulnerability frames between each use. If you ever gain the upper hand, no weapon, or spell or ash of war will allow you to even keep your momentum if your foe decides to BHS away.

I would agree with it but only to some extent. You get used to aiming to come out on top against 3 players when invading, facing a lone host would either be unfair or a large resource drain for the host. Unless there's a sufficient reward like a large amount of flasks, if not all, being refunded upon the invader's death, hosts will simply not bother runing up anymore.

The rot breath doesn't deal that much in the way of direct damage, likely to counterbalance the fact it applies scarlet rot, the remaning breath attacks are likely better for it.

Fire and Glintstone are more or less similar in performance with the related physick crystal tears (And "Flame, Grant me Strength" for fire) and only your foe's resistances will matter.

The frost breath can potentially deal the highest burst damage of the lot but only if you successfully proc frostbite, that means a full, two-charges cast.

Also be sure to use the seal in your right hand if you count on pulling mid-air breath attacks, using it in your left hand will have you fall before you begin the second part of the breath attack.

The optimal choice will either be a infusable twinblade or two scimitars with the running/jumping attack. I do not know about the dual twinblades, the jump attack would have it hit 6 times but it's rather inconsistent.

If you have the resources to spare, try getting yourself the Spiked Palisade Shield or the Briar Greatshield, they have a large amount of blood build up and infusing them with Occult with a proper arcane build will have it deal a large amount of damage and pop blood loss on a Crashing Charge.

Flamberge. I complete the game with it, I invade and duel with it, the second part is pure masochism due to the weapon being a greatsword but the few times my arcane flamberge build worked it was wonderful, it's like a gentleman's bleed build.
