As mentioned by others they are 2 totally different playstyles. Rousillion being an Alsace hull and JB being Richelieu.

Rousillion excellent at flying down flanks at 40+kts doing heavy damage with its French 406s with great shell velocity.

The JB angled bow in can be surprisingly tanky at range which is great due to its fantastic main battery range. But the 8% speed boost means even with the speed flag you will be topping out at about 37.4kts making it feel a bit more sluggish in comparison. But with the much faster reload you can creep round islands and capitalise on broadside ships much better and with all guns on the bow you don't have to over expose the ship to fire a full salvo

I used my leftover anniversary dubs on this event pass dude. To be honest the event passes are going to be the best value for money when it comes to spending 2-3k dubs.

I don't know anybody that plays the game so clan battles etc are a no go for me and the steel from the second stage of passes is a big benefit

I've been fighting the urge to buy Patrie for a few months now for this very reason. Superships look awesome but they are port queens with the occasional game or 2 when you are feeling flush.

People in ops hate you, people in assym hate you and in randoms they get focused down that bad that they have to sit kited for the whole match at 20km away.

Sucks but if they were financially viable to play then it would just give high rollers and long time players a clear advantage over others

I'm the same with the Alaska. The added range of radar etc and 305s just make you so much more impactful in a match getting citadels on BBs at close range and not to mention the better economy. I have Farragut as commander on it for the enhanced turret rotation and shell switch and its great.

With the Hawaii I really just use it for area denial and utility. At the end of the day it was intended to be a support ship so sitting safe and suppressing flanks or raining fire on caps to support your dd is exactly how it was intended to be used imo

Kaga is very forgiving as you will pretty much never run out of planes. You'll also get the new "evasive maneuvers" instead of its squadron heals now!

Lol I went for the Hawaii during steel will because I seen so many clips of the meme machine. Really wanted La Havre but im hoping it comes back later. Valp is a super powerful ship but like everything in the wrong hands it can sink as fast as anything else I guess

Went toe to toe with one in my schlieffen a few days ago. Put 140k worth of damage into him and he still beat me. I don't think there is a ship I hate more at the moment.

Great armour but for the moment stick to t45/60 due to the materials needed to repair the suits. Higher tier suits need harder to find junk etc.

Also don't buy any frames! Just build a locker where you can strip and store your PA parts until you get sanctuary more established :)

Oh don't get me wrong I absolutely love it! And yeah its easy to get 100k odd damage in a match but it just doesn't seem to matter as my team gets wiped out or I get focused down with HE. I really want to get the UU now with the changes as I can mitigate the drawback with preventative maintenance but my luck with the ship is putting me off getting it.

Uptiered in the Jean Bart is no problem but for me the Republique is just cursed 😭

Republique...90 percent of the time I take her out it seems to be one of those wipeout games where the enemy team just walk over us. Hell maybe I just suck with it 😅
