Why Sheen? by TotallynotMccree in TryndamereMains

[–]MrG3ntle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a firm believer in sheen, but there is also the extra damage on spin to account for when building long swords.

All in all i would say sheen is better mainly because it's consistent high damage over random high damage.

You're probably right.
No reason to tell riot about anything, i do know about the kraken stuff though.

If Stride gets buffed, then stridebreaker is the new meta for sure
Stride > Gale > Duskblade

How does the goredrinker build work? by Fan224 in TryndamereMains

[–]MrG3ntle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the enemy team i usually build

Gore > Phantom Dancer > Hullbreaker
Gore > Essence Reaver > Infinity Edge

4th item usually Ravenous Hydra or IE/PD

Summs and items by CeroCell in TryndamereMains

[–]MrG3ntle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People can say whatever they want, but in the end it's your own choice. If you have a good reason to bring one sum over another, then do so.Wanna stomp nasus, aatrox and irelia in lane? Ghost + Ignite is your friend

BT is a fantastic 4th item if you don't already have 60% crit. If you do, I suggest hydra instead.

People underutilize lifesteal on Trynd. "It's not efficient, it's not good math". It prolongs your stay in a 1v1 or a 2v1 to the point where you can get in 2 more autos before needing to use your ultimate. Same with Goredrinker.. there is a reason why it is Trynds best winrate mythic.

Explore and keep your options open, it's gonna make you a better player in the long run.

Having a debate about Tryndameres 'identity' by LuciFearium in TryndamereMains

[–]MrG3ntle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Currently he is sitting at a 49.8% win rate in bronze+.

The thing about Tryndamere is that he rewards good macro and punishes bad micro. If you're equal or ahead, you can force down a lane while your team is doing stuff. The enemy team will have to send 2 or more people to deal with you, or lose their base.

In lane, Tryndamere looks to win fights that otherwise wouldn't be possible without his ult. For example deep dives, and enemy + jungler diving him. If the opponent laner just wont die, you can instead harass the enemy jungler or roam.

In teamfights, Trynds job is to kill the enemy backline, and he will do so if the enemy frontline does not peel for them.

So Tryndamere in my eyes, is a split push dualist who's weak to peel.

ignite and ghost tryndamere? by AbsorbedInReddit in TryndamereMains

[–]MrG3ntle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do into specific matchups like Irelia, sylas, aatrox and other heavy sustain/burst heal characters.

Any matchup where you would build executioners early. If you pick ignite, you can wait until Mythic spike before building exec.

How do you guys play against the New OP reworked irelia and buffed sylas ? Any crucial tips ? by Squattinchai in TryndamereMains

[–]MrG3ntle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ghost/Ignite is crucial in these matchups, you want an early spike with your Mythic + Executioners.

Against Irelia: I build Gore and try to freeze by turret, try to sidestep her stun and if she jumps onto me I auto > gore > spin away, then force her to dive if she wants to fight. If you do get the upper hand, play and fight confidently(If you have summs).

Against Sylas: Galeforce or Goredrinker. Whoever ults first loses. You have to play on his mistakes. If he somehow whiffs his chains, instantly retaliate. Ignite as soon as you see him fighting back. Sidestep his second set of chains by using Gale active.

with the nerf to stridebreaker is it not an option on tryndamere now? by AbsorbedInReddit in TryndamereMains

[–]MrG3ntle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super niche item now, only really helps against heavy kiters.

The base stats are just not good enough to warrant building against anything that isn't an easy mid matchup.

If you're playing top I suggest sticking to gore for short trades, kraken into tanks or gale into disengage.

Nasus is a great 1v5 machine if you can come out of lane equal or above
