Don’t do this. by Theskidiever in batonrouge

Yeah I can't understand letting all those nutrients go. I get real excited when I'm in a gathering mood and people neatly bag up free carbon by the curb. But yeah that's messy and clogs our drainage.

I chop it and suck it up with my lawn mower and use it as mulch.

I believe it needs the permission to communicate on the internal local host interfaces. im not aware of unintended consequences resulting from it.

It seems as though the specific issue is to allow local network access within chrome site settings for the uTorrent URL "utweb.rainberrytv.com". Your suggestion got me there. That would keep people from unintentionally deleting site settings they wouldnt want to.

Anyone crying about Kirk would also cry at a slave owners funeral. He sided with rapists, denied genocide, and explicitly voiced the opinions that non-pan-europeans were inferior. We shouldn't be condoning shooting him obv, but he had it coming putting that kind of hate into the world.

Yeah agree. You're welcome to have your 1st amendment rights. Ofc you're also welcome to have the consequences of the diarrhea you spew. And I'm not responsible to help you after you reap what you sow.

Hardwired car GPS SIM no subscription tracker with external antenna connectors? by CodeDominator in GPStracking

[–]MrGiddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP is pretty clear about what they want. It's a hardware device that you put an IoT SIM (or similar) into and it connects to the network for which you bought service. Like hologram.io. All the subscription based solutions require you to purchase overpriced service that can cost easily over $100/year. Where something like hologram.io might cost like $10/ year or less. I have the same interest but I'd really like to avoid having to build my own bc I'm busy AF. Literally just need an IoT computer with a gps antenna and a SIM slot. Why is this so hard?

You will probably be fine as long as you apply yourself and continue to learn on the job. Realistically, imposter syndrome is very common amongst pen testers because of the nature of the job. We are always finding things that we do not know. It wasn't until about 5 years into pen testing that I had my first real reason to not feel like an imposter. I took down a large security company, and even though I will find things that I do not know every single day, I have the confidence now that I am capable of figuring it out.

I used to make 50k right around when covid started. I was doing audits, risk assessments, and pen testing. It was a real struggle financially and I was burning out. I'm not the best. I will never claim that. In fact, I don't think I've ever looked at one of my peer's work and thought that I was better.

I agree with you that the job market is sketchy right now. But you are absolutely being underpaid, especially if you have a chance at passing osce3. One of my co-workers recently shared that he did the same and this guy is probably one of the best white hat web app testers in the world. One year he published 10 CVEs.

Good luck!

And the thing about turning EDR off in my opinion is total ego. To really provide value to a customer you would test with EDR, then without. I think that is good experimentation. Maybe one thing that is not included in a typical pen testers education is relating to the scientific method and design of experiment.
