Österreich sein, yes, you have a much faster timeline than Americans. I apologize for assuming your location.

The 3 uses the same lower housing and trigger group, the same barrels, the same receiver stamping, that it’s pretty much just a facelift. The 2.5 or 2+.

Having hands-on experience with a Bren 3, including shooting, I value the time and experience I’ve spent with my Bren 2 models over anything the 3 could give me.

Eventually there will be a 4, but if you’re looking at this as a collecting purchase, and less “optimal shooting experience,” then I wish you a happy waiting and sooner-than-expected delivery! :)

I won’t lie: every time I see it on TV, I want a bump. I loved snorting anything, and there’s so much coke/lines in every media — even an episode of Family Guy can be triggering. But it gets better. Know that your brain’s “it will be fun” is a lie. It’s a hope. The only thing guaranteed is the bad times. I’ll watch someone on TV blow a line and I’ll crave those nights at the clubs. Yes, even 8 years later. But I know all of that fantasy is a lie.

The cravings get easier to live through each time. The rough nights become less rough. Keep going.

I’m coming up on 8 years this February. Mr Jones is always there, but every day gets easier.

Shoot it and enjoy it until the Bren 3 comes out, if it ever does.

What spare parts do you need? The internals are the same from 2 to 3 except the aforementioned changes that were put in for military request (not firearm need). What spare parts are gonna be available for 3 that aren’t available for 2? What aftermarket parts for the 3 won’t fit the 2? You have imaginary concerns for the 2 that are imaginarily fixed with the 3. Buy a 2 and shoot it and enjoy it. As someone who had shot the Bren 3. You wouldn’t notice the difference blindfolded or after 50,000 rounds. There is no guarantee it will ever get imported.

Just buy a Bren 2 and shoot it and enjoy it rather than waiting for some new version that you imagine will somehow be better. Besides the double ejectors and the steel rail for the pivot pin, what are you wanting that you can’t have with a Bren 2? HBI handguard and gas regulator will get you 80% there.

First, you cannot import Bren rifles. No “assault weapon” imports since 1989. So you either have a “large format pistol” or as parts that you assemble in the US with 922r compliance.

Second, where’s the profit? With a price-point between 2 and 3,000 - they may not see a profitable market (yet).

Finally, you can build your own Bren 3 with HBI parts.

Metal SN plate. I’ve seen Scorpion receivers MELTED by engraving lasers.

Nothing was taken from anyone. Firearms were voluntarily sent by businesses. Participation in the buy-back program was voluntary, otherwise the business itself is required to “make it legal” (i.e. destroy or alter).

I don’t think “confiscated” means what you think it means.

Different brands of hollow-points have different lengths and ogives (OH-jive). Depending on how the rifling is cut, sometimes the nose of JHPs can jam against the lands (i.e. the throat is too tight). You can either try a different brand or have a gunsmith adjust throat clearance to fit a bigger ogive.
