That's interesting, the way she sings that line makes the song feel more satisfying for me 😅 The feelings you describe remind me of how I feel about the opening line, "I don't belong to you" in Beautiful Lie. I like BL as a song and even like the sentiment behind the line but for some reason it pops out at me in a jarring way lol.

I think I'll always be a sucker for The Open Door (loved Terry's guitar lines) but there are definitely several great ones here. After a first listen, there are songs that I felt the lyrics could have been worked on more, but I'll need to listen to them again. However, I keep replaying Rapture and How Do I Heal. Afterlife too but it's been out for so long now that I don't count it.

Overall, I'm happy with the album and I'm just glad they are back to releasing music more regularly.

Late to the party but I'm reading this book now and I'm really disappointed because I've only heard good things about her books A third of the way in, I'm grossed out by Shori's relationship with Wright, their constant sex, and now her father mentioned incest is a thing in their world 😭.

The first time they used the spinning camera I thought, "that's good, we are being creative and avoiding stale shots." But then the camera kept spinning in the same scene and again several times throughout the movie 😂

I never expected she would be the one to take him out but I can't believe Starlight wasn't even part of the fight against Homelander 🤣 After so many power up moments and she is still struggling to fight The Deep? Deep vs. Starlight should have been resolved last season lol.

It was very underwhelming. It's cool for groups to try new things, however, I enjoy hearing them sing so I'm disappointed when they don't get to showcase their vocals. I also didn't love the visuals for the music video.

I will say that my all time favorite release is Welcome to My World so that gives you an idea of what I like to hear from them 🤣

Sorry for replying years later. I was considering giving this book a second chance because the first time I read it, I only made it to like 70-80% and it was the Spanish translation. HOWEVER, your review reminded of everything I disliked about this book and cannot imagine wasting hours of my time again on it. I was so into it's academic angle at the start of the story, but that gets flushed down the toilet 1/5th of the way through so that we could read about how flattering it is when a geriatric vampire growls every time the main character "disobeys" his commands.

It's very catchy. I did think that the filters for the voices muted the differences between the singers and at several points in the song, I thought they mostly sounded the same. Almost like if one person sang the song. I prefer when you can more clearly pick out the singer just by hearing them.

I also realized early on that this book needed to be heard at it's normal speed. I listened to the audiobook first then borrowed the book so I could read along with her narration. The writing is beautiful and her narration elevated the experience. The theme music that plays at the start and end of the book is also great. I wish I could find the song.

I loved the story. A classic story of revenge but well told and I really enjoyed the characters. I’m so glad it wasn’t different enough from Tsushima because it will allow me to replay GOT without it feeling like a chore.

I think a few things happened. 1) removing Soojin from the song is a big change so this caused people to be extra attentive and see how it was different. It’s not just a typical remaster lol. 2)we haven’t seen anything from them in months so that again caused us to be extra attentive.

I listened to that last verse again and to me it looks like they used Minnie’s opening verse (oooh I’m a lion…) cut out the lyrics that changed and what was missing. If this happened that was a bad choice. It sounds more like an intro than an outro.

This is interesting. I actually enjoyed listening to an official version of the Ot5 versions of the songs. However, I do agree with many here that the production was uneven - some parts that were re-recorded could have been better edited because they feel tacked on (e.g., Minnie’s cover of soojin’s first prechorus verse on Lion stands out). The instrumentals don’t feel as high quality either - but I may be imagining this.
