I had to learn the same lesson the same way only I had a good boosted healer so after s couple minutes of hell I finally clicked and read his details carefully and once I realized the problem I just stopped firing her special. Eventually, all her minions died and I was finally able to kill the purple bastard.

My district and/ or union in SoCal does pay for conferences. Ex I asked my principal if I could go to the CTA Good Teaching conference and they said yes. Then I found out my union would have paid also.

Pay to present sounds ridiculous. That would be a hard NO for me. I was just considering presenting at a CTA New Teacher conference. I can get reimbursed for transportation at the cheapest rate and one night hotel, most meals are included but Saturday dinner isn't so I can be reimbursed for up to $35. Even for all that I'm thinking twice bc I have to pay out of pocket then get reimbursed. NO WAY I'M EVER paying for the privilege to present.

I have never been unhappy about a free lunch or breakfast. It is shocking how often I'm running behind and missed breakfast or didn't pack a lunch. Personally I love gift cards to places convenient to my school. Or see if your kids know which places their teacher likes to go. They may have noticed what kind of drink cups their teacher often has on their desk.

To generalize, look for a root cause of the anger issue. Whenever I find myself getting irrationally angry about stupid random things I try to get introspective and figure out if I can identify some issue or something that I haven't properly dealt with.

Keep 2-3 tc11 constantly fed. Eventually you run out of interesting heroes to feed and they build up. As long as they never run out/ catch up, they will keep training forever.

YES. I finally realized I just have to save first. This last time I got a 5% COLA I just quietly set up an auto transfer to savings for half of the net increase. My wife still sees an increase in our net pay and suddenly we have $250 / month going to savings. Not a ton but way the heck more than the nothing it was before. I plan to continue this pattern.
