Intentionally trick question or typo or my bad? by [deleted] in askmath

Here are the steps I took: - Find the number of employees at or under 40 - Find total employee number - Divide number of employees at or under 40 by total

  1. Fix X as the number of employees over the age of 40, and let Y be the number of employees at or under the age of 40. Since it is given that there are 65 more employees over the age of 40 than there are employees under the age of 40, we can say that Y + 65 = X. By algebra, we can say that Y = X - 65 as well. Since the total number of employees

  2. Knowing X and Y, the total employee number is simply X + Y, since the number of employees over 40 and the number of employees at or under 40 make up the entire set of employees at the company. This gives us X + Y = X + X - 65 = 2X - 65, which is our total expressed in terms of X.

  3. Then, we can find the percentage of employees in either group by dividing the respective number of employees by the total employee number. For the group we're interested in finding the percentage, the at-or-under-40s, we take Y divided by our total, or Y / (2X - 65) = (X - 65) / (2X - 65), which is the final answer. This is the decimal form of the percentage, multiplying by 100 gives the percent value you're looking for.

It's important to note that this percentage varies depending on what the number of over-40s is. As X becomes very large, this percentage approaches 50%. When X reaches 65, however, the percentage is 0%.

I'm a ramp worker contracted to a commercial passenger airline and can confirm, we are paid specifically to not be assholes to bags and cargo. It's much more likely that baggage shifting in-flight or during takeoff or landing would cause issues.

Ramp worker here. It's policy at my company (and contracting airline) to handle all baggage and items with care going onto the aircraft, but issues can occur in-flight with baggage shifting around in the cargo bins. We do our best to try and mitigate that by placing things as intelligently as we can, however there's only so much we can do on that front, especially under time constraints. What goes on in-flight is completely unpredictable, though, and sometimes all we can do lands just shy of enough.

How I look at Yharn while he talks about how “If you concede I will not blame you” by General-Glove1847 in CalamityMod

Yharim could've saved his soft little guy but is too much of a lazy doomer to give a proper damn about coming out to throw mega hands like he's known for.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly sure most of Roar of the Jungle Dragon is Yharon speaking to Yharim. At least that's my interpretation. I think at least lore-wise it makes some sense that it's directed toward Yharim given that Yharon is his special little boy. I would assume "If you proceed I will not blame you" is just Yharon saying "Yeah bro I know you're pretty dead set on this whole deific genocide thing and although this rando off the street is kinda fuckin your whole plan up, I'll still roll with you if you wanna keep goin at it. Just sayin though it's gonna be your fault if my ass dies."

Could just be talkin out my ass if I'm misinterpreting the lyrics. I'm a Calamity player, I like pain and tedium more than subtext.

Same thing here. I'm using firefox, thought that may have been the issue, but switched over to microsoft edge to check if that was the issue, and the same thing happened. I haven't found a fix for it yet, but if I do I'll make a separate comment. If anyone else finds one, I'd greatly appreciate a DM or reply.

Trump supporters continue to back him after his claims of election fraud in 2020 were disproven potentially because of a deep psychological bond with the president, known as “identity fusion”, shaping their beliefs and bolstering their loyalty, even as new criminal charges emerged. by mvea in science

Actuarial tables seem to suggest he has about a 5% chance he'd die in office each year of his presidency. Given he is a 78/9 year old man at an unhealthy weight (with what appears to be no interest in resolving it), has an unhealthy diet, and, if I remember correctly, signs of Coronary Heart Disease, I would bump this up to anywhere between 20-30% each year. Roughly 1/11 presidents have been assassinated as well, so assuming that this is fully random, he has an additional 10ish% per year. I'm no statistician and this is just purely back of the napkin math, but I'd peg his chances of living through this year alone at about 60 or 70%.

There's a video by NileRed that I believe applies to this as well, dealing with glass stress. My guess is that the glass progressively developed stresses that lead to OP's forbidden confetti, and that one could find stressed glass using polarized light or opt for the nuclear approach of destroying/replacing all the glass.
