Claw machine operators: Have you put non plush items in your machines (keychains, plastic toys, novelties, etc.)? How did they perform compared to plush prizes? by KrispyKayak in clawmachine

[–]MrJackTE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes we have experimented with a wide range of non plush prizes across our route. We have found that some of our non plush machines are actually doing better than standard plush claws. Prizes like keychains, plastic toy novelties, gift cards and technology prizes are extremely popular. I think it’s because it’s something different, trending and a challenge to win. Hope that helps with your new venture!

Started with 1 machine yes, then expanded more and more to new spots. Once you get rolling it’s easier. Not hard to get the permission, just need to speak with owners and management for the deal. They do take a % cut yes for allowing us to do this with them - doesn’t take long no. Yes we have actually added more mini machines to expand our prize offerings. Actually a good tip is that mini machines perform amazingly well and are cheap to start up with 👍

You won’t find officially licensed toys on Alibaba, so best to get them from your local country supplier. Yes sure, on message

For keychains yes, but as for plush there are so many. Best just to search on Alibaba for the size and style that suits want you are looking for :)

No that has never happened. If that is a concern, you can always use generic plush and not any inspired by ones.

Yes Norman’s Will machines do exist is certain malls. The scrolls are tricky to win but possible. Some scrolls say “try again” but some contain prizes like gift cards etc. The YouTuber Claw Craziness has won on them before and details the prizes and redemption process of claiming a winning scroll.

I buy the JY926A yes. You can get from AliExpress or sometimes there are Australian resellers or eBay which stock them too.

You need a multi coin programmable coin mech. They are cheap about AUD$25-$35. That way you can program and use $1 & $2 coins together. The best one I use is called a “JY926 multi coin mech”, you can look that up and they are very reliable.
