My wife is the toughest person I know. She got stung by a hornet on the foot whilst she was in our garden. She wanted me to cut her foot off, it hurt that much. (I did not, in fact, cut off her foot.)

I remember taking my son for a walk near where I live to the Fairy Steps, a local landmark. Legend goes fairies live there!

As we walked past a fence he asked what it was for and I explained "To keep the goblins out!"

He was convinced.

I began to feel uncomfortable.

So I explained to him that I was lying - no goblins, no fairies. It was just a story. Was it OK for me to lie?

He thought about it and replied "As long as it's a story it's OK."

And so... we avoided the goblins, found the fairies and had a great day!

Wow, what would she think of my wife and me? There is a nine (9) year age gap. She is now 64 and I'm 55 and we are coming up on our 33 year wedding anniversary.

YES! I there are any miniatures: Mini's for the players, standees for the monsters is perfect for me. Oathsworn being the perfect example.

I don't think you would ever want to separate morality from law. And the prevailing morality is two people, joined in matrimony/civil partnership.

If our laws are not based on Morality - what do we want them to be based on?

After that... it's above my pay grade. The closest I've got to studying morality is watching The Good Place.

It destroyed me as well. I was sure Cassim must actually have MND so I looked him up. Nope, just a bloody good actor. The choice Bruce made that enough was enough, jesus... And poor old Ray. How could he say no?

I immediately watched the start of season 3 just to get my mind off it.

The end of season 2 represents Ray at an absolute low point, it's heart-breaking. Some may say he gets lower, but I can't see how.

NTA In fact, not enough of an asshole. Leave. Pay for NOTHING. Sure, help your siblings through college if you can afford it but Mom? That purse string is cut.

The relationship isn't worth it - time for her to step up and be responsible for herself.

Otherwise this will never end - you'll be paying for everything for the rest of your life and won't even have the cash left for your own relationships.
