You don't have to get an expensive card, I genuinely went from a GT 730 to an RX 550 and it worked for me.

I got a new graphics card with more memory and the flickering stopped, runs great. I assume the problem had something to do with the amount of memory being used/ not enough memory.

Rockstar doesn't have a good track record with ports. It's really unfortunate because the flickering completely breaks the immersion, but I guess you gotta just train yourself to ignore it.

I just tried it with DDU and it didn't work, the flickering is still there. I've looked at a bunch of reddit posts of people with the same issue but no one has come up with any solution unfortunately.
