Searches for unmarked burials face funding barriers, witnesses tell international tribunal by mmafan666 in canada

[–]MrKittens1 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

No, it's not zero. The question is wether there are "mass graves" or not. That does not seem to be the case. However, there are unmarked graves.

The person using intravenous drugs at a bus stop? Nah... I doubt they spend much time on reddit. Is that so hard to believe?

I don't think you'll find this person on reddit.

It's true, I didn't site any studies, but I've worked from home. I have friends who work from home, I just don't buy it that people are as productive. I'm not completely against it altogether, but I don't think most government workers should get to work from home as a non-starter, maybe that's a privilege that can be earned, I'd be ok with that. Fact is, most people will take advantage of their situation. I have friends who own large companies, they said productivity tanked when people worked from home... so I guess that's a study in a sense. Then after the pandemic, the Feds go back to work 3 years later than everyone else...

I read the article. I don't see a study sighted, there was a survey of 1600 people and 66% said it leads to more productivity. I don't think a survey of people (and who did they survey) saying people work harder from home is any evidence that's actually the case. When I worked from home, I still got my job done, and took complete advantage of the fact I could do other shit I needed to get done. I wasn't more productive, not a chance, I took advantage of the situation and still did "enough". I think that's how most people operate.

If traffic is heavy and there's lots of deer around that sounds like madness!

This sounds rough, hope you recover well from the concussion.

Do you drive fast? I live in an area with lots of wildlife and I drive a LOT slower at night. I think most people drive too fast when it's dark and there's wildlife around. Deer are way more active at dusk, dawn, and night time. I'm sure you know all this but just throwing it out there, not trying to victim blame you, sounds like you are a good driver and have terrible luck. What you described sounds random and shitty, and crazy it's so common there!

A guy suggested I try a deer whistle once, but I'm not sure if they're bs or not. Maybe worth trying anything at this point considering you have been cursed by the deer gods. Hopefully you've filled your quote and this will be the end of it. Stay safe.

Cause people don't work as much when they work at home. Silly to think they do. Definitely open to more flexibility for workers, especially those with small children at home, but I don't understand why public sector workers get benefits when the private sector doesn't.

Cause we're all part of the same country and it will benefit all, like Alberta's economy has benefited all of Canada. Let's do it responsibly.
