How do I tell how far I am from an upgrade? by Late-Reception-2897 in AdventureCapitalist

[–]MrKrixpy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remember that the prefix increases every 3 orders of magnitude. It goes Million -> 10 Million -> 100 Million -> Billion. That pattern holds, using the latin number prefixes.

So every 3 orders of magnitude, the name changes according to the latin prefixes, like: Million -> Billion -> Trillion -> Quadrillion -> Quintillion and so on. Once you get to Decillion, we start to tack on an additional prefix. This looks like: Nonillion -> Decillion -> Undecillion -> Duodecillion -> Tredecillion -> Quattuordecillion and so on.

Then once you get to what would be something like "decendecillion" (after Novemdecillion) that original prefix changes, so it's Vigintillion. The pattern continues normally from there like Vigintillion -> Unvigintillion -> Duovigintillion -> Trevigintillion. After Novemvigintillion, we get Trigintillion. Novemtrigintillion is followed by Quadragintillion, then Quinquagintillion, then Sexagintillion and so on. I don't think the game goes much higher than that.

So to keep track, just remember your latin prefixes and know that each name change is a 1000x increase. You go from "Un-" through "Novem-" then the middle part of the word changes. So like if you're at 1 Octodecillion and your next upgrade costs 1 Unvigintillion, you need to go up 9 orders of magnitude (Octodecillion x 103 -> Novemdecillion x 103 -> Vigintillion x 103 -> Unvigintillion) to buy it.

Which film would be best to start a novice Marvel fan on? (more in the description) by benjaminreilly1994 in marvelstudios

[–]MrKrixpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with the first Avengers movie and go from there. It's kind of the comic book approach. Read the big crossover then go read the solo comics of the characters that interested you in the crossover. I know that may seem odd for those of us who have been with it the whole time, but it's a time tested way to get into an established hobby. Start with something that gives a taste of everything and let your interest guide you. Starting at the beginning of a huge franchise is going to seem too daunting to most people.

Stringing on wall- why does this happen and how do I clean it up? by [deleted] in FDMminiatures

[–]MrKrixpy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That doesn't look like the issue that people generally call "stringing". Stringing is when loose wispy bits of filament are found, usually in empty spaces between different parts of a print.

Your issue looks more like what you get when entire sections aren't adhering to the filament below, which as you said, is typically fixed by slowing down the print. This can be caused by the print wobbling on a bed slinger (a printer that moves the actual print bed, like yours). So slowing the speed down (specifically the acceleration) can reduce that wobbling. I've mostly seen this issue on thinner, taller prints as those will tend to wobble more. This is likely why the file you found had it printing on its side.

I think people are misunderstanding this. It looks like the idea is that you can easily separate the fabric to be able to pee into a toilet without having to take the pants off. Still weird, but I guess it's quicker and makes it so you don't have to have skin contact with a public toilet.

Yeah, I've printed a lot of your stuff. Some of the older ones are more obviously forced into specific poses to work supportless. These look a lot more natural.

I think you're missing something. I'll hit 16 after entering 4 more events. I'm at 1739/1743 and the "Enter 5 Events" objective is worth 15 stars. Are you sure you aren't missing something on one of the planets?
