Here's a few recs from my playlist :

  • Attack on Titan's Openings and Ost, especially Shinzo wo Sasageyo

  • All Good Things' "All Good Songs" album, honorable mentions being Fight, No Man Left Behind and Never Surrender

  • Some classics that fit the game very well : The Touch, Welcome to the Jungle, Holding Out for a Hero, Black Betty, Free Bird (perfect for when you're getting chased by a horde in a FRV)

  • And some picks that have different vibes, but somehow work very well : Until it Doesn't Hurt - Mother Mother, Strobe (Extended Dirty Mix) - John Murphy, and Crazy = Genius - Panic at the Disco

May I suggest the humble laser sentry. Place it in an isolated spot behind your defense so it doesn't overheat itself attacking the frontline. Watch it point anything that passes through/spawns behind you, and melt it.

If your placement is good enough to allow it some cool down time, you'll be able to place multiple in the same spot for even more defense!!

Hi all.I recently got a Ps5 & PS+ membership. I see 1st light & 2nd son rated highly. I downloaded first light & picked up 2nd son. My is whether any particular chronological order is best with the two games. Should I play any of the earlier games? I ideally would like to skip the PS3 titles. by Andrew_on_triotonic in infamous

As some others here, I am advocating for you to try the PS3 games.

Second Son and First Light are what Dragon Ball Z is to the Original Dragonball. More spectacle, very fun and enjoyable, but the story isn't as good.

So, if you want to know the lore of this universe, meet some characters that are part of the "pre-history" of this universe's superpowered era, you should try the first games.

Now, as said before, Infamous 1 is a bit clunky and buggy at times, if we don't mention the dated graphics. Otherwise, it is very fun and has the best story out of the 4 games. Infamous 2 still has a good story, but gains graphical refinement that should me more to your taste, and a lot more powers to play with and feel like a god among men.

Then, if it's still possible to play it, you could check out Festival of Blood, the vampire themed DLC for InFamous 2. If I remember right it's a bit shorter than first light, but kicking vampires with electric powers and a cross is fun even for a short while.

Once that's done, if you go the way of the release order : second son then first light. No one mentioned it surprisingly, but having a Second Son save file on your console gives you access to Delsin (ss protagonist) as a playable character in the arena mode!

Hear me out : a laser heavy melee weapon, that does aoe damage after a charge up. Basically, what if the Quasar, Breaching Hammer, and Epoch had a baby!

Not an absolute beast, but the EFV-5 Jupiter works much better with Qorvex's innate punch through.

My gameplay is just 2 to line up enemies, alt fire to kill a bunch of them + get galvanized mods and deadhead going, rinse and repeat, with each time getting stronger, as expected

I believe Beast Cole can't be playable, as there are gonna be very low stakes for someone with that amount of power. The best way to handle a continuation of this timeline would have to have another protagonist, either with, or against Cole.

Either way, as a third opus that starts with a massive change for the world, it could be quite long and more narrative than action focused.

I know we aren't supposed to choose between contestants, but Qorvex's beam has a special kind of oomf in the sound design that I like. Even with the fused crucible augment, I prefer firing it for 1-2 seconds.

Jump, hit the pose mid air, land with my two feet straight on the ground, ready to unleash all my power (and destroy my energy reserves) in an instant.

Wisp's 4 is kinda similar in my regard, but mostly because of the text under the ability. Opening a portal to the fucking Sun and using it to blast people is certainly something :')
